I don't think Jimmy is not popular in Vietnam. If you carry out a survey of Jimmy's famousness in Vietnam, I'm sure that 80% of vietnamese people know who he is or they have watched one of his movies/series before especially MLS. His fans in Vietnam are fervour and crazy. We've also prepared a gift for his birthday. Let's see what will happen on FM radio of china on 15th Oct this yr.

what r you guys going to do for his birthday...sing to him in vietnamese? that'll be cool. Is there a special bday program on FM radio of china for him? this is the same online radio that did a weeklong prog on jimmy. right? i think the DJ is a jimmy fan.

i hope jimmy will hold a concert in vietname next yr. the concert is marketed as the Asian Tour of Jimmy Lin. so he has to hold concerts outside china too. very unlikely in the US , but hopefully in other asian cities.

That is not close enough!!!! I thought I could get to be in row 7 or something like that! Also, according to the map, wouldn't #3 be on the side instead of the center? And which side would that be in, the left or the right?

okay. we can stop talking about jimmy's hairy legs now. he just updated his blog. he'll perform on Sunday 2009-09-06 at the Beijing National Coliseum for the 60th China National Day celebration.

he also taped 2 vid clips for the children of the Sichuan earthquake. Two new schools have been built for them and will be opened for the school year. he was still wearing the Speedone team uniform. must've taped it during the race.

ladycoco, thank you for trying to comfort me, but my ticket was purchased on the 27th of August! So, I thought I could have a better seat.

Oh well, I will see if my friend can do something about it, wished she comes back from vacation soon... I guess in the meant time all I can do is change my attitude about it and just be grateful that I get to go.

Anyway, I don't think Jimmy is going to come down from the stage to shake hands. He just might get mauled by the mob and I don't want to be trampled!

I don't think I am going to bring my laptop. I have too many stops after the concert and don't want to haul it around. I will find an internet cafe and give you guys update instead. I am sure there are internet cafes in Shanghai, since there are quite a few in Tibet!

Don't laugh guys, we can imitate perfectly the pronunciation although we don't know chinese. I sent an email enclosed our record to the DJ in eng and they reply to me in chinese. They said they'll play our songs in a special prog on Jimmy's birthday. I sent tons of songs but I guess they'll chose one song to play.

I am curious, does anyone have the clips to these 2 charity show. I believe they were done back in 2nd or 3rd week of August 2009. I want to see them, better yet, download them.

They have received my payment, but i'm still not sure what my row/seat# is . They told me that VIP 1280 is from 1-16 rows. Row 8 still available when I chat with them. But our line were cut off, no idea about my seat# yet . I had purchased my air ticket to ShangHai on 19-23 Nov. I was shocked when my Shanghainese friend told me that Shanghai is 10 bigger than Singapore . I think I will get lost there.

I'm sure you sound fine. Did you guys recorded the birthday songs for Jimmy in groups or individually? If you are shy about singing, maybe you should sing with the group instead of doing a solo.

That is true. I don't want it be be in a pile somewhere and then forgotten. Like you said, Jimmy already have a lot of model cars, so I don't want to give him a remote control car. I think your idea of getting something local in Seattle for him would be the best. Thank you ladycoco!

I have a dilemma. My friend called the box office in Shanghai and confirmed that my reservation is for row#11, seat#3. They explained to her that the seat numbering starts in the middle. So I actually do have a center seat. However, if I want row 7 or 8, then they only have edge seats left as the first 5 or 7 rows of center seats have been blocked up by fan clubs. So, which is better? I'm thinking the center seating in row#11 is better than the edge. What do you all think?
