what r you guys going to do for his birthday...sing to him in vietnamese? that'll be cool. Is there a special bday program on FM radio of china for him? this is the same online radio that did a weeklong prog on jimmy. right? i think the DJ is a jimmy fan.
i hope jimmy will hold a concert in vietname next yr. the concert is marketed as the Asian Tour of Jimmy Lin. so he has to hold concerts outside china too. very unlikely in the US, but hopefully in other asian cities.
ticket sale started 2 weeks ago. so rows 7-10 are already taken.
i found this map in jimmy's baidu forum. the red section is very close to the stage. seat #3 most likely is on the right side (odd numbers) but you are close enough to the side to shake his hands or take pics when he comes down. just make sure u don't get trampled by the other fans.
remember to bring your laptop so u can tell us about the concert after you go back to the hotel.
this post also has info on the hotels near the theatre

okay. we can stop talking about jimmy's hairy legs now.he just updated his blog. he'll perform on Sunday 2009-09-06 at the Beijing National Coliseum for the 60th China National Day celebration.
he also taped 2 vid clips for the children of the Sichuan earthquake. Two new schools have been built for them and will be opened for the school year. he was still wearing the Speedone team uniform. must've taped it during the race.

ladycoco, thank you for trying to comfort me, but my ticket was purchased on the 27th of August! So, I thought I could have a better seat.

Oh well, I will see if my friend can do something about it, wished she comes back from vacation soon... I guess in the meant time all I can do is change my attitude about it and just be grateful that I get to go.
Anyway, I don't think Jimmy is going to come down from the stage to shake hands. He just might get mauled by the mob and I don't want to be trampled!![]()
I don't think I am going to bring my laptop. I have too many stops after the concert and don't want to haul it around. I will find an internet cafe and give you guys update instead. I am sure there are internet cafes in Shanghai, since there are quite a few in Tibet!

keroro33: you don't have to apologized for posting the picture of Jimmy in shorts. We had fun and no harm done. If Jimmy read our blog, I am sure he will just laugh and think we are silly!
Did you get your row/seat# yet?
*
kid1412: You are welcome. I didn't promise, but I will try, ok? And I don't think keroro33, december_snow and I are able to get seats next to each other. But we can try to meet up before the concert and do some JL shopping!
What kind of gift have the Vietnamese fans prepared for Jimmy's birthday, if you don't mind sharing? Can you give me some ideas of what to get for Jimmy in case I get to go to his autograph session before the concert?
*
seekylinJVFC: If Jimmy is going to have a concert in Vietnam next year, and the timing is right, I will try to attend that concert as well. But, I will need your help to purchase that concert ticket so that we can sit together! And hopeful with kid1412 as well!
Again, thank you for the site to your Vietnamese forum. I will need to find more time to navigate through. Just been so busy these days!
btw, does the Vietnamese site have the Chinese lyrics to Jimmy's songs? I couldn't find them last time I visited.
I have only been to Vietnam twice since I left at the age of 6. So, I really don't know the geography of Vietnam at all.

december_snow, have you purchase your concert ticket yet?

Yea that's the same radio online that did so many prog on Jimmy b/4. We're going to sing Jimmy's song in chinese.Don't laugh guys, we can imitate perfectly the pronunciation although we don't know chinese. I sent an email enclosed our record to the DJ in eng and they reply to me in chinese.
They said they'll play our songs in a special prog on Jimmy's birthday. I sent tons of songs but I guess they'll chose one song to play.

I am curious, does anyone have the clips to these 2 charity show. I believe they were done back in 2nd or 3rd week of August 2009. I want to see them, better yet, download them.
Also, I am still looking for a copy of the Chinese lyrics to all of Jimmy's songs. If you have it, would you be so kind to share it with me please???
Thank you!
vivi
No I'm not singing. My voice is very weird and funny so I don't have enough encouragement to record.
So Jimmy will hold an autograph session for fans who buy VIP tickets, right? Uhm...it's very hard to chose a special gift for him. It should be a thing that he always uses so that he can remember you.I think a hook key with a car's logo is ok just like this:
Car's hook key with Ferrari logo
You can also mark a special symbol of you on it to impress him. (It's just my opinion). And one more thing, if you can talk to him, don't forget to introduce this site to him.![]()
The show he taped in Shan Dong was broadcasted in August. I watched it on Shan Dong TV but it hasn't had the clips yet. There were just some clips taped by fans so they're not clear.
The show in Shan Dong:

He forgot the words at the end of the song so he changed the lyric.
The show in Sichuan:

I've just realized that he had performed at Shanghai Bigtheatre in 07. The row#1 is really close to the stage.

really! which song was he singing? can u give me the time. I don't know the lyrics so i wouldn't know if he was doing it right in front of me. but i want to see how he did it. he has sung these songs so many times. i think he has about 5 songs he keeps performing on stage. wish he'll sing Dui Wang more often.

Viv1010, below website has lots of Jimmy's song with lyrics, but only in chinese![]()

In case u're not sure where to click on, here is the simple guide LYRIC.jpg![]()
They have received my payment, but i'm still not sure what my row/seat# is. They told me that VIP 1280 is from 1-16 rows. Row 8 still available when I chat with them. But our line were cut off, no idea about my seat# yet
. I had purchased my air ticket to ShangHai on 19-23 Nov. I was shocked when my Shanghainese friend told me that Shanghai is 10 bigger than Singapore
. I think I will get lost there.
What a great idea!Thank you! I'm not sure if there is an autograph session for VIP ticket holders, but I want to prepare for it just in case!
I'm sure you sound fine. Did you guys recorded the birthday songs for Jimmy in groups or individually? If you are shy about singing, maybe you should sing with the group instead of doing a solo.
Also, thanks for the links to the charity shows. I will view them tonight after work! yehhhh!!!!!

can u share with us your recorded songs for jimmy's bday. can't wait to hear it.
But how do you give him a gift at the concert. i mean everyone gives him flowers/gifts. he'll just put them down backstage. will he really open the gifts and look at them. i am sure he has many Ferrari key chains already. he likes Ferrari model cars and Ferrari bears. in order to impress him it has to be related to cars. how about a model of this car if u can find it. it's his latest toy. he said he just bought it in this vid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5PWlOw7JL8
how about just bring something from Seattle or Vietnam so he knows fans from all over come all the way to his concert.
That is true. I don't want it be be in a pile somewhere and then forgotten. Like you said, Jimmy already have a lot of model cars, so I don't want to give him a remote control car. I think your idea of getting something local in Seattle for him would be the best. Thank you ladycoco!
I have a dilemma. My friend called the box office in Shanghai and confirmed that my reservation is for row#11, seat#3. They explained to her that the seat numbering starts in the middle. So I actually do have a center seat. However, if I want row 7 or 8, then they only have edge seats left as the first 5 or 7 rows of center seats have been blocked up by fan clubs. So, which is better? I'm thinking the center seating in row#11 is better than the edge. What do you all think?![]()
