MUSICAL TRACK- Who can forget this boyish heart-throb who sent so many hearts fluttering in the early '90s that he was nicknamed Little Whirlwind?

Now, Jimmy Lin is set to stir yet another storm in the Mandopop scene.

It has been over five years since his passion for car-racing turned into a sterling Formula One career boasting many international wins and the celebrity-studded Jimmy Lin Cup in Shanghai last year.

Though he occasionally dabbled in acting, he never returned to the stage.

Now 31, but still baby-faced with his trademark Bambi eyes and dimples, Jimmy has finally decided to reach into his own pocket for a new album about cars, racing and safe driving.

The album is slated for release on 28 Feb, which marks the 14th anniversary of his debut, and its first single is a hip-hop tune entitled Show Me Your Driver's Licence.

Does Jimmy feel eclipsed by Jay Chou's immensely popular car-racing movie, Initial D, last year?

The daredevil replied that Jay has his own unique style, but his car-themed album is a breakthrough.

'It has been 14 years and I'd like to return to the music scene on the day I debuted. This day means a lot to me.'
