LOL. We r an amazing bunch. I can read but not write chinese. i can understand some mandarin and speak cantonese fluently. somehow we complement each other and it all works out.

i think the chinese fans take idol worship too seriously. they treat jimmy as an older brother and expect 'big bro' to tell them every detail of his life. Hey, he's family member, right. seriously, will their own bro tell them about every girl they date? so they feel cheated after they find out jimmy has been dating kelly for 5 yrs. should he have made an announcement to his fans 5 yrs ago 'hey fans i like kelly and am going to date her. here r some pics of our 1st date...'. and if it didn't work out he'd make another announcement and so on... life in showbiz is not easy. as he said, he's not alone. he has a team of ppl working for him, his image, his career. every move he makes is scrutinized. yes, it's a business. now i understand. we fans r there to cheer and after the show we all go home to our own life. i know he wants to keep that lit privacy he has. he wants to go home to kelly and be himself. he's just human. he doesn't want his private life to be front pg news.

but one thing that make me mad is the behavior of those ex-fans. if i can't have him i'll destroy him. the ones who hurt him most r the ones who loved him most.

I watch the video many many times, very sad to see Jimmy so uneasy, especially when he said 'I am a father'. His tone, It's a mix of angry / nervous /wanna show to everybody that he is no longer young Jimmy/ wanna show that he is a mature guy, a father already / I don't know...i feel sorry to see him so sad & skinny.
No body know what is behind the scene of this b'day party, press conf & his speech, should be lots of debate / pro & contra, but we know that he must be pressured, could be by media, fans, his family, team work, friends, or even Kelly herself, nobody knows...
Luckily he has his little angel to make him smile & happy at the end.

I believe his brilliant speech was done by agreement of the whole team. And I do believe his speech is true story. But the ending part, whether he still want to continue in showbiz or not... a bit tricky..just afraid he will off showbiz for awhile after shanghai concert. Well, I guess you can't blame those fans 100% because that was what happened to Andy when his fans found out about his marriage as well. The good thing was that Andy apologized and asked those fans to forgive him and luckily, it seemed that a lot of them did. With Jimmy, I don't know.... I mean, I guess things will die down eventually and everyone will learn to accept everything just how it happened with Andy. I think so far Jimmy already has it way easier than Andy so he can't get the best of everything...I do hope that those fans will eventually learn to accept everything, but if they don't then it is no big deal.

His lie is to protect & support Jimmy. coz Jimmy wanted to announce it himself, on the press conf, formal & clear announcement. There even no Q&A session after press conf.

If his father/manager admit it before Jimmy, the result won't as good as now. And Jimmy will end up...., maybe worse than Andy.
If you watch his speech carefully, he did answer to your question about why his father & agent deny the news & why he delay one month to response to this news. And his father did answer to the question as well.

I had post a few msgs on baidu b/4, but this is the first time I've posted such a long essay in chinese. It took me 2 hrs to finish. I absolutely understand how they feel, but I can't stand the way they said about him. They said he was a lier and they couldn't accept Kelly and his baby. It's too mean to him and his family. He knows his fans don't like Kelly, so they lied us b/c he wants to protect his lover. He wasn't wrong. Fans who want to leave him used to be very sympathetic and honest. They had said they would support him whatever happend, but just right after he annouced he had a baby, they immediately changed to be anti-fans. They're liers. They don't deserve to be Jimmy's fans at all. Of course I can't blame them for everything. I just hope someone who is planning to leave will think over again after they read my msg. That's it.

I am glad that you put out the effort to type that all out. I tried to post as well but couldn't at that site. Well, I think those fans have faults while Jimmy has faults as well. They lied to him but he also lied as well so I don't want everyone to think that Jimmy was 100% right while they are 100% wrong.I just hope that they learn to forgive Jimmy as well and that Jimmy will be honest with everyone from now on. I can understand that a lot of a fans are like that and honestly, it is normal so I don't see the big deal about it. Really loyal and devoted fans are hard to find these days you know. I have to admit that I was really disappointed at first, but I am getting over it now since he finally admitted everything. There are plenty of idols and some of them are happily married with children too and fans still like and support them once they get pass the fact that they are married and all. I can say that I have a lot of idols that I also like, but still like Jimmy because I have liked him for a long long time. Those highly obsessed fans also come and go REALLY fast so I am not shocked at all. Therefore, there is no need for you or anyone to be mad about it.

You bought up some really good points that I do agree with some that I don't quite understand. First of all, what is wrong with Andy posting on his blog and having it spread everywhere? Anything you put on the net right now has a chance of leaking out everywhere. I think that was Andy's intention wasn't it??? Oh no, I did not know that Andy was in the Guiness book. Thanks for telling me. Andy is someone special to me that I have liked since childhood so I am glad that he apologized and explained everything. Therefore, I forgave him and am over it now....

I am trying to get over Jimmy's as well. Jimmy and Andy did LIE so I don't get why you said that using that word is not appropriate. Lying can be a big offense if you do it in the wrong way and for the wrong reasons. Well, about Jimmy's dad... I think he should not have said anything just like Andy's parents.They were questioned about his issue as well and his parents just smiled and said nothing. I think that would have been better than saying everything that Jimmy's dad did. Now, I can understand why he did but I don't think that was the best way to handle things. However, I am glad that Jimmy explained everything so that is why I forgive him as well. But I do hope that from now on, he will not lie to his fans anymore because it will not do him any good because we will find out sooner or later.

Also, since he is successful, he would pick someone that is not as successful and can stand behind him. Therefore, I can sort of see why he chose Kelly. If he choose a more popular actress/singer that was more successful than him and better looking than him, their egos would clash and there would be problems. I don't like Kelly at all but sort of understand why he choose her. It is also fate and maybe they were fated to be together?? It is not up to us. Even his father could not decide who he can be with so who are we to say anything??

I'm not too sure. Recent news he was caught at the airport with one model (from china??), they board different plane, but from same destination. And Aaron refused to answer to any question. Just keep walking and his face was unhappy.

If he continue accepting offers in idol series & launching new album, I believe, his popularity will not less than before. Look is subjective, but at least he is in the good looking category . I've been a Jimmy fan for 8 yrs and I've learnt chinese from him for 8 yrs. I used the chinese input software to help me type chinese characters. Yea I can read/write and hear a little mandarin but I can't speak chinese. This sentence is the only one I can speak: "Lin Zhi Ying, wo ai ni!".

Trinie, I don't agree with your opinions of why Jimmy pick Kelly. It might be true for other people, but I don't think it is true for Jimmy.

Love is a funny thing. Initial attraction might be outer appearance, which Kelly is not bad (well, she is not "WOW" beautiful, but she is pretty). However, that skin deep attraction do fade over time, and 5 years is long enough time. So there must be something about Kelly that really attracted Jimmy. Jimmy is not an ignorant child. He is a smart man with many good quality girls attracted to him. (I'm sure.) Beside, Jimmy is such a confident guy, I don't think he is a afraid that his "gf/wife" could still his spot light in terms of look/beauty. If she could, I'm sure he is more proud than jealous & upset.

Actually, most successful men have a very intelligent woman behind him to give him the support that he cannot receive from his business world. Even though Kelly did not appear that intelligent in her interview in the talk show a few years ago, but then she was quite young. For most people who are not use to the camera and under pressure, they do tend to react idiotically. I know she was a model, but that does not mean she is use to being interview at a talk show. Honestly, I was not impress by her interview at the talk show either.

Jimmy is so talented in some many things and he is so intelligent, it would be hard to imagine him choosing to someone that is mediocre. Their conversations/relationship would not able to last 5 years. Just imagine how can Einstein withstand being with Paris Hilton for 5 years? Not possible, right? I am not trying to imply that Kelly is very intelligent or anything. I'm just trying to point out that Jimmy must have see something in Kelly that really attracts him enough to make him want her to be the mother of his children.

Most of us in this forum do agree that it is Jimmy's choice whom he choose to be his life time partner. Since Jimmy chose Kelly, than I as his fan chose to support him and Kelly, cuz' I have nothing against her. I have to say that Kelly is one lucky girl.

Of course she has a good figure! She's a model! A lot of models in the USA still model after having children. For example, Heidi Klum, the model for Victoria's Secret. Brooke Shields who is an actress and model for Calvin Klein. People born with good figures will still have to work at shaping their bodies to keep up the good figure. So, if Kelly wants, she can still have a modeling shape after having babies.

kid1412, to be honest, Jimmy is not very tall. Most if not all models are tall as that is one of the requirement for the modeling industry. So, it's understandable that most of the models in Jimmy's MV's are taller than he. Ruby Lin, Jimmy's first gf is just average Asian girl height, not taller than Jimmy.

I agree with u. he spent 5 yrs (should be 4, i guess) with her b4 having a baby with her. he knows her more than anyone else. some of his fans call her ugly but none of them has spent 1 min with her. yet they all say she's not the one for him.

i watched the press conf so many times and i think he's really emotional when he talked about his unhappy childhood. it wasn't an act. he was under a lot of pressure and stress. but some of his fans r very young. they don't understand.
