Thanks ladycoco with the instructions on Baidu's website for registration. Saved me some time to figure it out. I totally understand what you mean by it being a hassle to post any messages in Chinese b/c I would have to go through the same thing. Type it up in a chinese word processor using pinyin and then copying and pasting it over. Worse thing, my simplifed chinese is extremely weak. I normally have to copy and paste it over to the word processor and have it convert to traditional before I can read the article entirely and not have to guess the character.

I've been playing catch up on the numerous messages that have been posted here and other forums since Jimmy's annoucement on the 15th. Lots of different opinions which is expected, but ulitmately we are fans of celebrities for their work. Honestly, I think we should now simply just look forward to his new album and any new onscreen productions, possible US concert (probably a very far fetched idea, but always nice to hope) and talkshows. I personally don't understand why celebrities hide their dating relationships when asked about it, but that ultimately is their issue and not a fan's. Yeah, it sucks to find out that they hid it and lied about it, but there are probably good reasons or else they wouldn't lie. I'm sure they have a good PR staff to advise them before they make any decisions in these annoucements, especially for someone who isn't green to the industry. So let's just continue to look forward to his work product as an artist, businessman, race car driver, etc. (whichever you please to view him as). I hope that other fans see it the same way.

Aaron was struggling in singing & acting last few years, his album wasnt doing well, and he decided to concentrate in acting. Good opportunity came, he acted in good movie, and win his 1st golden horse awards as best actor. And he came back to sing again, his last concert tour this year was very successful, and his spectacular stage design was featured in guiness book as well.

I had a feeling this would happen after he reveals everything, but I think that is normal and something that most artists need to go through I guess. That happened to Andy as well, however, his fans are slowly forgiving him and I think that may happen with Jimmy as well.

No, 5566 did NOT separate and are still as close as ever. They all attended his wedding banquet that was held earlier this year. I think one good thing about having kids before marriage is that they can be at your wedding which was what happened with Zax's kids. Jimmy had a child before marriage as well as many other artists so what is the big deal??

I think you have a point and I get what you are saying. Maybe he can get back his popularity like before, but then again I don't know he cares enough anymore since he has a son and has always said that he wanted to retire from the circle. However, I still think it is going to be really really hard due to the number of other talented stars in the industry. I know about all this because I am a fan of many many others as well so I am aware of their news and talent too. It is possible for Jimmy do it, but it will be really hard as well. About Tony, one of the good things about him is he is frank about his love life and never hides anything. Therefore, even though he has always been with Carina and is now married to her, his fans still treat him the same and support him just like before. That is how I think artists should be since I think it will be good for them in the long run.

The older I become, I'm in my early twenties, the more I come to realize that celebrities could live life normally if they are honest from the very beginning. Sure, you'll have some paparazzis here and there but it makes no difference, paparazzis still chase after you whether you're single or not. I had hoped that Jimmy would be man enough to admit his relationships earlier, not after the fact that he already has a son. I mean, what is there left to say? It's too little, too late don't you think? It's like duh Jimmy, we know you knocked someone up, we can see that. Jimmy's whole speech of "I'm a father!" absolutely makes no sense. Sharing the joy with fans today is another nonsense thing to do because really, Jimmy's been hiding Kelly away for 5 whole years, hid away the pregnancy, and then all of a sudden he wants to share his joy of being a father? I don't think so, it's so wrong in so many levels. It's like Jimmy ate all of the good parts of the pie and then says, okay fans, here's the portion I saved you, enjoy, you should be happy I'm even sharing the crumbs of this pie with you. It's really sad and I'm dearly disappointed.

Of course, I can only represent my own opinions and clearly it differs with a lot of you here but don't worry, I won't be roaming around here anymore. I'm in utter disgust. Yes, supportive fans can turn sour too and please do not assume that I'm not a true fan, that true fans support their idols no matter what, that's true to some extent but the rest, I can't tolerate such thick faced lying.

There's no point of cursing at Jimmy or wishing ill upon him and his family like some Chinese fans have done but really, all of my good feelings I had for Jimmy as a good person ends here. I know, it's not a crime that he committed but I just can't accept a guy who is so heartless towards his fans. I mean, when he said he loves his fans, doesn't that mean being honest? But on the contrary, he treats fans like disposables. I would like to ask, what has Jimmy done for such loyal fans? I think in the end, fans don't want grand concerts or closeup autograph sessions, they just want the truth, cut out all of that bullsh*t and just be real.

I totally get your feeling about being lied to. I don't like it either. I'm sorry to see you leave Jimmy, but your points are also very valid. Hope you will forgive Jimmy and change your mind later.

I'm not really a fan of Jimmy but I want to say something in response to time22shine.

I understand how you feel about feeling lied to and I think no one likes lies. But, personally, I think that it's acceptable for celebrities to lie to keep their privacy. There are a lot of good reasons why celebrities want to keep their lives private. For one, it limits controversies. Celebrities have enough rumors floating around whether the rumors are true or not. They have to face a lot of stress due to these rumors because the media wants them to clarify them all the time when it's really personal stuff that is really no one's business. I mean if you got in a fight with your gf about some personal issue and some papparazzi reported it, would you feel all right telling everyone about your private stuff? Stuff that you'd rather not let the world know? Things that you know people will misinterpret or things that will ruin your image. Celebrities aren't perfect I'm sure but they would rather us not know their flaws because it could affect their career. And not only their career but also their partner's career if the issue sheds a bad light on their partner. It's also unnecessary to waste time/energy over these things when they should be focusing on their career.

If you ask me why Jimmy hid his relationship and the pregnancy I would just say he didn't want unnecessary stress + controversies. And the reason why he's telling us now is because he knows eventually things will leak but if he's the one telling us then things will be more in his control. Albeit he would still face stress from the media but at least it's under his control. Whereas clarifying his relationship earlier will make media pry into the ups and downs of their relationships, and clarifying the pregnancy earlier would bring stress to the mom Kelly while she's pregnant which he probably doesn't want.

Hence, taking those things into consideration I think it's ok that Jimmy hid the matter. I don't think that it makes him a bad person just because he wanted to keep his privacy. I don't think there's other ways for him to keep things private.
