I don't know, I've just never liked her voice. It's sort of raspy and deep, but not exactly in a sexy, alluring way, either.

I've seen Cherrie in some of her Hong Kong movies with her hubby Jordan Chan, but she never made much of an impression on me until I watched her mainland series "Royal Embroidery Workshop" where she co-starred with Hawick Lau and Li Xiao Ran. She was second lead, and her character was one of the antagonists. But her character was complex and very driven (by unrequited love, of course) and based on that performance, I just thought she did really well. I've also seen her as A Ke in the new Duke of Mount Deer.

But yes, so far, I haven't seen her act in this type of bubbly, cutesy character. I do think she's very beautiful, and her eyes are quite expressive and gorgeous!

You are right, her voice is quite raspy. but still, I hate dubbed voices. Some movies/series do a better job of dubbed voicing, but others. For example, in Single Princess, the dubbed voice of the main female character was very poorly done. The dubbed voice totally sounded remote from the scene.

Yup, no hospital scene for main male character in My Girl. Guess, it's one of the new twist.

I find that the airport scene where JL threw the money up in the air for the girl was quite mean and degrading to the girl. I don't remember the main male character being that mean to the girl in My Girl.

he took his iphone4 apart, replaced it with a white shell, AND incorporated the chip from a debit card inside. Now he doesn't need to have money on him. He can use his phone to charge for stuff.

yeah. well, jimmy's pretty good at pretending to be cruel and cold-hearted, imo. his role as tian qi (after separation one) comes to mind right now.
