Thank you sooooo much, Coco. I just finished watching both episodes and so far so good. JL looks extremely handsome, resembling the Jung Tien Tzi in MLS (the 5 years later version). I'm neutral on Cherrie Ying, but find her somewhat over-reacted in these scenses (maybe that's what her role supposed to be. I've never watched the Korean version so I can't tell). She's pretty but her voice is very distracting. Oh well, hope the series will be a good one.

You guys are welcome. I just went to youtube to search for it and bingo! But i think it's an illegal upload. as soon as youku finds out the eps will be deleted for copyright violation. so watch it asap.

so far Rainbow Sweetheart is ok. the first 2 eps are exactly like My Girl, scene by scene. I think only the 1st time they met on a plane (She tried to delay the departure so her tour group can make it to the airport) is replaced by the wedding scene. Cherrie Ying way overacts. I hope she'll tone it down some. Who designed her costumes and hairdo? Jimmy is handsome as usual. one scene of him driving reminds me of Tian Qi driving in My Lucky Star. but sometimes he looks too cold...a smile once in a while plz. They use the same songs from Single Princesses: You are the One, Color.

The vietnam fans r also uploading Rainbow Sweetheart to youtube. Each ep is in 3 parts.

Btw, I think rainbow sweetheart it's 99% better than the single princess. Cherrie Ying really over act but it's a bit funny sometimes watching it especially when her mouth open so wide so often. I can't stop laughing cos is so ugly!! Jimmy Lin is definitely CHARMING n HANDSOME of course with good acting skill.. I really like his look in this series..

I'm a bit disappointed when they use u r the one & colour as part of their songs cos it really reminds me of the single princess series(which I don really like that drama) even I love the songs so much.. But anyway, look forward to see my handsome n charming Jimmy in rainbow sweetheart:-)

Please don't even remind me of Single Princess, it was his worst series ever. I was quite disappointed that he didn't have any new songs to go with Rainbow Sweetheart, but I truly don't mind the addition of "Color". But I was shocked to hear "You Are The One" though, since for some reason, that song really reminded me so much of Single Princess, ugh!

I was reading this article earlier about Rainbow Sweetheart and felt annoyed by those people who criticized the series. I know everyone has their own opinions and we should respect that, but it just ticked me off a bit.

In the article, it mentioned that there are controversy and criticism towards the series by some people saying that:
1) JL and CY are too old for acting in "idol series", especially when they're married with family. Honestly, I don't even know what makes a series an "idol series" vs. a regular one. I do remember watching many romance series with lead actors who are in their late forties, and they were great. Seriously, I rather watch an older, better looking, and more talented cast than a younger group who can't act well. Plus, although JL is 37, he's so much more handsome than some actors in their teens.

As far as being married and with a family, so what? Their job is to act well, so as long as the actors and actresses fit the roles well, who cares if they're married or not. People really need to stop linking their personal lives to their profession, and should judge them on their performances instead of their marital status.

2) Rainbow Sweetheart is a copy of My Girl! Hello...this was a fact and they did claim to be remaking the Korean drama from day one, so why is it such a surprise to people that it's a duplicate of My Girl? Jimmy said it many times himself that it is a remake of My Girl, with Chinese cast and some deviations from it. I've never watched My Girl, but re-making another series is not something we've never seen before in the Chinese film industry. There were remakes of American movies, Japanese movies, and even our own Chinese movies. For example, the Monkey King movie was made numerous times over the years and we probably can't even keep track of how many versions there are out there between Taiwan, China, and HK. I can't understand why it's such a big deal on this one.

I know I'm biased because I love watching JL so much, but people are so negative, and it's just so disturbing at times. All I know is that I'm soooooo glad that we get to watch a romance series with JL in it and so far, it's looking pretty good to me.

PippoGirl, totally agree with u. don't understand why chinese ppl r so hung up on the actors' age and marital status. as long as they can play the role who cares if they are married or not. If married actors can't play single roles does it mean single actors can't play married roles? If the actor's age has to fit the role then where do we find 80-something actors to play an octogenarian.

not meant to drag Peter Ho into this but he is 36 and the male lead of the Taiwanese series Ring Ring Bell that's airing in Taiwan right now.

Even if they are single, they are not going to marry or date you! It's the talent and their looks that we want, don't care if they are single or not! Beside, if a celebrity is single forever, then they wondered what's wrong with them, and why aren't they married yet? so contradicting!

At least can improve but critize the age and their marital status??? Rubbish.. These writers dries up already cos they got nothing to write about.. so sorry about that article. Such stupid fans! They think actors or actresses who get married cant play Idol film? so stupid!! I think it denpends on how they're suitable those roles. And b4, fans also know that's My girl copy! but it's ok, many Korean Movie were copies of taiwanese ones, so wat? Marriage is nonsense here! celebrities are also normal ppl, they have right to get married, it's so selfish if fans want they're single 4ever.
