Jimmy is not in those two projects.

Yeah, I heard you. Thanks. But sometimes it feels like you and I are the only 2 people here. It gets kind of lonely.

What other forums, may I ask. Any feedbacks?

After I finish the one I am working on I will try to translate the article about the dogs. It is kind of cute.

What is different about this article is that according to the source it appeared in a
business magazine. It also appears that the reporter actually interviewed Jimmy.
I got some help with this translation. I am getting better.
    Enjoy!

    -------------------------
Every time we see Jimmy Lin we get the misconception that time has frozen. From
17 to over 30 his face still looks like the posters that hang on the walls of millions
of teenage girls. From teenage idol to first class racer then to the only supplier of
the software for the Taiwan banking system, this babyface now hides a very
    different content.

Jimmy Lin, this forever sunny boy was a very successful entertainer 14 years ago.
Like his father, he had a foothold in the entertainment industry since his teenage
years. He also inherited his father's business sense. Today, he owns his own
brand of clothes and car products. He has his own car dealership that sells and
remodels cars, including limited edition cars and antique cars. Two big IT
companies and an online shop also contribute immensely to his personal wealth.

Movie stars usually go into the beauty and restaurant businesses. Jimmy Lin is
the very few that venture into the IT business. We can say that he is the "IT
boss who can act, and the actor who knows IT".

He owns 2 IT companies that develop software and surveillance systems. They
mainly develop software for Taiwan banks. They are the only companies that
develop software for the Taiwan military. They almost monopolize the banking
software industry in Taiwan. According to his manager, Jimmy's personal wealth is over US$60 mil.

Jimmy's love of IT is from his personal interest. His love of hightech products
is well-know in the entertainment industry. Li Bing Bing's digital equipments are
quite uptodate, but she is influenced by Jimmy. "Jimmy is a computer whiz. The
first thing we do after we get home is to wash our hands and change our
clothes. But the first thing he does is to turn on the computer and get online.
At filming sites he can use his laptop to control the electric appliances and
curtains in his home. His home is in Taiwan! After we shoot some scenes for fun
he can use his laptop to edit them. He got me interested in computers. I will buy
an online card to get online on my laptop anytime.

Taiwan no 1 racer opened car dealership:
Jimmy already excels in acting and business. Because of his love of racing he
spread his fame to the racing arena. In 2005 he was hired as the ambassador for
the ZhuHai International Speedway and also contracted to race for the Honghe
Rally Team, the largest racing team in China, for the next 3 years for TW$10 mil.

Jimmy is a good athelete. When he was in the army, his shooting scores in the
75m, 175m, and 300m were almost perfect. Beside racing, he is also good at
water sports (diving, swimming), playing with knives and long poles (that's why
he rarely uses a double in filming), and guns. He loves shooting games.

With this background, his racing cannot be bad. In May 200, Jimmy raced in the
Zhuhai F2000 Formula race. He finished fifth among racers from the US, Japan,
Canada, Austraia, and Hong Kong. This proves his racing skills. A lot of people
in the racing circle think that he is ranked among the top 8 in China. In fact,
he is already No. 1 in Taiwan. In 2001, he got 7 championships. In Taiwan
LungTam race, he broke the record in 'single lap' speed. As of today he still
holds the record of the annual champion for winning 4 championships in a year.

In 2005, he opened a racing consulting company that helps people interested in
racing to fulfill their dreams. He also opened a successful car dealership in
Taiwan. It imports and remodels cars.

The actors who work with him knew that when others are taking naps between
takes he is busy taking care of his online shop. Three years ago, he started to
sell online. He first sold his used racing T-shirts and hats. Business has been
booming. He now has a "JR Shop" that sells from bikini, sunglasses, beach
sandals, purses, to just about everything. After his brother returned from his
studies in the US they worked together to build the online business. Jimmy
concentrated on purchasing and coming up with new ideas, like sewing a red line
or a lovely flower on black bags. They then contract factories to mass-produce.
Jimmy is very careful when talking about his little business. "It was very tough at
the beginning. We had to hire a lot of people to deliver the products. Business
did not take off. We were very discouraged at one time. The merchandize is
good. Why don't they sell." Some people suggested that he used his name to
sell, but he was reluctant. He always think that good merchandize is most
important. He didn't want to use his fame to get business. After 3 years, they
now have about 4000 to 5000 regular customers. Monthly revenue is about
RMB40,000. He shares his experience with other online sellers: "First, online
shops must have good reputation and fast delivery. Second, answer each
question with patience and take each question seriously. Third, build your
customer base slowly. Online customers have different taste. If your merchanize
is good, they will come take a look. After they like it they will come back." Fourth,
the online owner needs to be smart.

Jimmy's business sense came through early in his career. When he fist started
out he opened a photography studio. It was expanded to 5 or 6 chained stores.
Monthly revenue was several million TW$. He is also smart in investing in stocks
and real estates. After he left the army he dabbled in stocks with his father.
He got up every morning at 8:30am to watch the market. After the market closed
in the afternoon he went to afternoon tea with his friends at 5 star hotels. "I
was 23 at the time and bought my first Ferrari." The money came from the
    earnings in the stock market.

He owned 3 houses in China. The one in Shanghai is home for him and his
employees so they don't have to stay at hotels. He bought it for RMB1.86 mil a
year ago. It is now worth RMB3 mil. "At one time it was worth more and I should
have sold it. The interior decorations are like my home in Taipei. It feels good to
come home after a long day."

According to insiders, each room in his house in Shanghai has a color theme. The
living room is in white. The kitchen is in yellow. The master bedroom is in
skyblue. The ceiling has 8 colors laser lights that change colors with music, like in
outerspace. The guest room is in Disney pink. The other green room is
multi-purpose. It can be a guest room, SPA, or dance studio.

The real estates in Beijing are for investment only. "I took one look at a house
in the countryside and bought it. People thought that I was crazy." Jimmy
bought a house in the countryside and one in the city. Each is about RMB 3mil. A
lot of movie stars are his neighbours. "I have faith in the real estate market. The
    room for appreciation is great."

It is so. But it's amazing how old fans have remained loyal through the years and how he managed to acquire new fans today.

Of course, my favorite is still Xiao Cui. It is very touching and Jimmy was good in it.
Hehehe! Xiao Cui is my favorite too. I liked all of the stories. I think they had interesting plots and a very good way of presenting the moral lessons. I couldn't help from giggling over whoeve dubbed Jimmy's voice. It was weird, awkward sounding and totally off!
