here's some news on NY:

Remember the series "Four Masters of the Imperial City"? Well, Yuan plays a playful, happy-go-lucky character called Iron Egg who grows up in the brothel. This series is closed to being aired in China. Recently (11/07/05) a journalist interviewed Yuan and asked him about his character in "Four Masters of the Imperial City".

"The first 10 days into filming, I felt really pressured because I've never played a character like this before. After a while, I felt much better as I begin to get hold of Iron Egg's personality. The atmosphere on the set was fantastic, it kinda helped my step into my role."

Nie Yuan homestly admits that it is sometimes easier to play the gentleman type of role. "When people watches "Four Masters of the Imperial City", they don't have to recognise me at first. They should think gee this person looks familiar or this person has good acting skills. Then they become intrigue and wants to find out who this actor is. This person might be watching another of my series at the time but doens't realise it's me as Iron Egg. If this happens, then I've suceeded in playing my character."

NY's official site and Athena Chu's fansite has joined hands to organise a function this weekend. Fans from both sides are visiting the filming crews on the set of "Chu Ri YIng Xiong" (the series with Athena). Waiting to hear great news as well as pics

fans saw NY filming this section where he's banging his fist on the table. After the director says "cut", the girls all rushed up to him and asked him whether is hurts or not. NY was like "Nope! Not at all!!!!!!!"

Sorry everyone, I'm late!

Hi everyone, Haven't been here for a long time, don't blame me la, it's a bit inconvenient coming online, and there's a large amount of filming to be done each day, please forgive me! I really like this series (with Athena), I'll try my best to portray this character. You know, the scenery there is really pretty, great weather, not as hot as Beijing, hehe. I'm a bit worried about the cyclone near Taiwan, how's all the fans from that region? Still alright?? You guys need to take care, your safety is my biggest joy. OK, got to go, will come back when I'm free.

oh well, it's nice of him to think about his fans..he's really thoughtful...I haven't been in here that much because of prelims...but i do look in here every mondays, wednesdays and fridays and weekends ....heheheheh

haha........i haven't been here often as well cos Yr 12 is coming up and the work load is increasing..............but sure, I'll pop in every now and then.........hehe

P.S: what's prelim??? is that like the final exam/stage of a uni course???

hehehe! Preliminary that's Prelims...when you go to the university, there'll be semesters and each semester shall be divided into three periods: preliminary/prelims, midterms and finals...currently, I just finished my prelim exams and I'm very dissappointed with my grades I especially think I screwed on my accounting computer class ( I got good grades in lab but bad grades in lectures and it's so unlucky that lab is only 15% of our grade) so I might not be able to come here that often now But I'll try on weekends though

oh i c, so uni is divided into 3 stages. hehehe, in Australia, Uni is just term 1,2, 3 or 4. Preliminary is actually the name given to Yr 11 course at high school

anyway........I just chekced www.nieyuan.net and apparently, they site closed down for several days due to maintanence problems, so there hasn't been much news about NY..........

by the way, have you guys looked at the fans function pics at ExNY??? cos no body made any reply posts so i don't really know

I'm back!

a bit of trivial news on NY. last week, he was on this show (you know, the ones where celebrities go on and play games and stuff........). Think there was this section where the guests are asked to choose something from a supermarket and NY kept choosing lip balms and brooms!!!

It turned out that he really likes lip balms........ I.....I would like to reserve my comment on this.................

hehehe! that picture made me melt on my seat...about the lip balm thing, I don't think it's an issue because who wouldn't be happy having smooth kissable lips not Yuan for sure ! hehehehe! anyway, have you heard the rift with Nie Yuan's ex Huang Yi and Vicki??? they're fighting over this guy-huang yi sort of stole it from Vicki or so I've heard. I wonder what Nie Yuan would say about it...

I heard that a storm's on Beijing now, I hope Yuan stays indoors....

yep, i read about that in the paper.........don't think Yuan has much to say about it. It seems he and Huang Yi are merely friends now, he doens't mind who she decide to go out with. Anyway, I wonder how true the rumours are, i mean, Vicky seem to attract a lot of negative rumours and most of them are false

I guess rumors whether nasty or not are the price of fame...that's probably one of the reasons why Yuan doesn't care too much about fame because of it's price. Huang Yi was always too busy for Yuan before or so as the story goes...I wonder if you could dig up some stories about their past relationship did they hook up before Yuan got into the biz?

Think Yuan knew Huang Yi from an ad shooting while he was still at uni. They were still together when they filmed Wrong Wedding.
