hahhaha...have to agree with you mystic...but I still find when guys look scholar-ish, it made me seem them weaker then always, especially the hat, I mean it's kinda pointless wearing it....doesn't cover the sun, and probably makes you sweat twice as much as you do normally....hmmmm

perhaps the hat is there to keep the knowledge in or maybe it is strictly for bragging rights. Maybe the hat let others know that the person wearing it is a scholar; some scholars think they are better than others cuz they can recite Confucius and Mencius and other notable history figures (but in my opinion, most scholars don't have a real conception of existence and therefore is truely foolish). Nie Yuan does look slightly weaker in his scholar uniform but he is still cute and I like it when he told the two people to run away (I was expecting the village people to burn down his home for giving such disastrous advice to impressionable love-birds). I like him best with the gray hair before he totally turn evil though (you know when he was going around trying to kill his loved ones. He had slight purple highlights. In the dark, it was really cool -ooking and the wavy hair was pretty too )

Umm pretty girls...I'll doubt that...let's just hope they're not some new and not-mature enough actress...I never really like the girl that Hu fei pair up wiht...she demonstrate such a weak characteristic...but I enjoy their love story...the whole blind thing was cool

His Dad lead an army to Luo Cheng's place after he left them. Basically the dad was trying to persuade the son to go back home. Then the Sui army come and thought the dad is there to help the Wa Gang people, so they set up a trap and kill Luo Cheng's Dad.

I only seen the version Hu Fei of Sunny Chan of TVB, I don't like it...Charmaine can't act (sorry charmaine fan's)...I hope that Athena will be better in this new version!

I just seen somes pix of him at sina.cn, he had receive a awards with other actors and actress...I don't know tthe name of this award....but if I don't wrong Lu Yi and Shihi Xiao Long also received this awards few years ago

blind? Well i think u watched the Charmain version. That was plain crap. You should watch the 80's versio with Ray Leung. I liked that version the best

FBB will play Nan Lan, ermm. she was Miao Ren Feng's wife who had an affaird with Tian Qui nong? ( don't know his chinese name but his viet name (Dian Quy Nong) She was Miao Niao Lan's mother.

and Joyce Tang's characted was kind of made up, not from the original novel. They actually merged her character from Yuan zi ci ( Hu fei's first love who became a nun) and Ma Xuan Hoa ( A girl who Hu fei owned. She loved the king's son.. but he later had to kill her)

I had seen Ray Leung version too...but not enought...I just seen some first episodes, around 1/3 of serie...I think that I will re-see it...thanks

and not a very good scholar at it. when he was supposed to study for the exam, he keeps getting lovely-dovely (my theory is that the guy handed in a blank sheet because he has not the knowledge to write anything on it; has nothing to do w/ love; that was just an excuse). Qi Ye is smarter, more powerful, more just, and waaaaayyyyyy better-looking in the scholar outfit!

That series is Jian Lin Tian Xia and yes, Nie Yuan is in it. He only has a cameo role, though.
