Also a huge fan of Stephen Chiau here. I was starting to lose faith in him with his more recent mediocre movies (King of Comedy, Tricky Master 2000) but Shaolin Soccer was just the funniest movie I seen in a very long time. You gotta love that scene where he turn the soccer match in a war, complete with machine gun, explosion, and helicopter sound. That movie put my faith back in the man. Can't wait for his next movie.
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Is he still doing any new movie? My favorite is Tricky Brain, with him and Andy Lau.

I'm a huge fan of Stephen Chow's. Bought most of his movies on VCD and every once in a while in the year, I'd hold a "Stephen Chow Marathon" where we'd just watch his movies non-stop. <IMG SRC="smilies/alien.gif" border="0">

Yes i particularly love the part he was singing 'California dreaming' in Shaolin Soccer. That was hilarious. I think my first movie of his was "Justice My Foot". I really really love this guy.

I like his movies - very funny. I think there was one or two movies I didn't quite understand <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">. I can't remember the title of the first movie I've seen. At the beginning he lifts up a coke machine - his arms were like steel... and that white cloth! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

My personal favourite is Back to School 1. Stephen Chow is hilarious, but he's not half as funny without his other half Ng Man Tat. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

my personally favorites are the saint of gamblers series and the fight back to school series. i thought that fight back to school 2 was better than the first one.

i just finished rewatching the royal tramp today...man what a travesty of a jinyong novel, but surprisingly forgivable ^^

To keep this thread going...I'm gonna list some of my favorite scenes from his movie:

    A Chinese Odyssey: Part 1

The scene where the two sisters are eatting and Stephen and his gangs come out wearing nothing but paper. They think that they are invisible and they came to capture the two demontress. One of the sister set Stephen's "garment" on fire. Instead of putting the fire out by removing the "garment" (because then it would make him visible again), Stephen lay down while his men stomp on the fire.

Only problem, the fire was near his private part so they were stomping on his balls while he was doing all kind of painful faces. <IMG SRC="smilies/laugh2.gif" border="0"> When the fire was finally put out, one of the sister "accidentally" spill wine on him and the fire started up again.

This time, his men was displaying great martial art moves. Flipping all over the place and stomping on him to put the fire out. I think this happen like 3 times but I could be wrong.

Anywho, after this whole ordeal, Ng Man Tat handed Stephen a blade and told him (I'm translating from memory):
Ng Man Tat: Here, cut it off. It's useless now.
Stephen: (pushing the blade away while looking very sad) Useless is better than nothing. <IMG SRC="smilies/laugh.gif" border="0">

More later...it's getting late. Need to sleep
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

    I'm looking for 'Mad Monk', because I haven't seen it. I've seen lawyer-lawyer, and I must admit that it's Stephen's most awful movie <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">
