hehehe shiro!! I'm the same with qssymm! I know exactly when it's going to end on each disk, and exactly which disc scenes are etc.

Re watching it a bit...I wonder about Du Fei's feelings towards Yi Ping...
it's like Qiong Yao tried to make him another Er Kang, in the way he only really ever cares about Ru PIng and Ru Ping only. Even when Shu Huan and Yi Ping broke up, and Yi Ping was really sad, he only cared that Ru PIng was gonna be hurt if she got together with Shu Huan in case Yi Ping then manages to get him back...
and then during the engagement, him and Er Hao went to drag Shu Huan back to the engagement party so Ru Ping wouldn't be hurt, when it was clearly seen that Yi Ping was unwell, and she had even cracked her head at that time!
(I'm purely looking at the "lines" here, and not expressions, looking at expressions, I thought AV was a couple! hehehehe)

I guess I was pretty aloof to how cute A&V were onscreen together, becuz all I see is Du Fei's incredible devotion to Ru Ping, but now that it's mentioned... I'm going to rewatch and pay closer attention. I think it's true though, Du Fei never cared about Yi Ping. He's blindly in love with Ru Ping, and I mean blindly because he only sees her goodness. I don't think she deserves him, but I'm happy for him that he finally gets to be with her.

see...i don't think she ever really truly loved him...
it was just she finally managed to get it into her head that she was never ever ever gonna get Shu Huan...and she was getting desperate because of the war and her getting on with her age...

Di Fei deserves much much better! ^^ That's what's annoying about his character...he can't seem to figure out there's more to life than Ru Ping...

I actually think Yi Ping and Shu Huan are a good couple. They are just not right for each other. Both stubborn and too much pride. And Ru Ping don't deserves Dufei OR Shu Huan!!! Especially not Shu Huan. I really hated Ruby's character in qssymm. Is she nice or not nice? why is she always 'happy' when Yi Ping and Shu Huan broke up. So annoying. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Ruby fan. Just don't like RuPing. But she is cute and all.

The fact that AV will make a way better couple than Leo-Shu Huan any day and any time.... gives a sense of insecurity to the "love" theme that supposely, is on vicki-leo (yi ping-shu huan). I mean, IF there were to be "split-scenes and side drama" about alec and vicki in there, ahhaha undoubtly, leo would be diminished from the "main"-lead role (or watever that u'd wanna call him-- eheh i could care less ) ... therefore, to seperate AV's conections in the series, will then hlep the viewers to see that they "should" pay atention to the yi ping-shu huan relationship only ------ har har..... now isn't that jsut a load of crap. lol.

didn't somewhere, somehow, someone said once (proabbly in an itnerview/newspaper) that vicki said playfully that she'd missed hanging out w/ alec during the filming time becuz they dont' have the same time to see each other or talk to each? lol.. somewhere along that line, she did say soemthign about not being able to "see" alec as much. ehehhehe

Yeahh! booiii do I agree!! DF deserves sooo much more better than RP!!!! RP has that innocent kinda attitude and so much of it its disgusting (im talking character, not actor okie? ) DF is just sooo stubborn and love struck!!! sometimes I just wanna wack him in the head!!! (not hard ofcorz concidering I really dun wanna hurt him.. this time in talking actor haha) but as much as I wanna wack DF on the head, its not nearly as much as I wanna wack SH on the head (this time im talking BOTH Character AND actor! ) Arggg!!!

yogurt! do u by any chance still remembers where/ at which part-tape-episode that yi ping hugged du fei??? i wanted to solely see that part, but i'm not gonna torture myself to scan the entire series to find it ehehe

and i so agree on the writiers couldn't even afford more AV time--- they would've made more money, get more fans, pleases US AV fans more if they'd just spare several AV episodes in there!

Du Fei leaving would be near the end... VCD version would be near 44, I guess...

I guess the writer knew that if she gave Yi Ping-Du Fei more time, we would kick Shu Huan out and demand for AV to be together...
And how could she not make it that way? Both have a one-track mind where love is concerned anyway... wouldn't they be perfect for each other? screw shu huan and ru ping!!

it depends on which VCD version you have shiro...but it's right after the part Ru Ping decides to kill herself (unfortunately she didn't...), and Du Fei doesn't feel a need to stay anymore...aww...so sad...

Hien, the part YP hugged DF was in tape 35 (Viet-dubbed), 11 min after the beginning. Hee...hee...I was timing it tho . Too bad, the hugg lasted only 1-3 sec . But also check out DF's eyes contact to YP at that moment , it was definitely AV eyes contact!

someone help refresh my memory...what was the name of the annoying older brother of Ru Ping...god, another miscast...

I'm actually glad Shui Ling didn't get herself involve in this...he would be totally inferior to her.
