maltby and morrow, why the heck are they on the team!?!? i thought gretzky said he'll pick the best players available, like the olymipics.
and i respect yzerman alot but with one eye and one leg, i think his time is up.
I agree about Regehr. I too would put Jay Bouwmeester instead. As for Kirk Maltby and Brenden Morrow, you'd understand if you had watched the two latest World Champphionships. Especially Maltby, he was very good on the checking line with Kris Draper and Shane Doan. That line totally shut down Peter Forsberg and Mats Sundin. Morrow played this year on the same line with Daniel Brière and Dany Heatley. He was good, but I don't think we need him. I'd rather have a more talented player like Vincent Lecavalier. I also think that Steve Yzerman is too beat-up to play anymore. If it was me, I'd replace him with Alex Tanguay or Rick Nash. We already have a very good checking line, we don't need a second one. I want Team Canada to be an offensive team, not a defensive one.
My obsessions: Joy Division, New Order, Bones, The Office.

i agree regehr, what are we gonna do with him, we should replace him with some one else, and yzerman is too old, send someone talent and speed, i would say tanguay

i dont think we had a checking line in the olympics, but we brought home the gold anyways. i guess i can understand them wanting a more defensive and grinding type team for the WC since it'll be play on north american ice. still dont agree with regehr, yzerman, and morrow being there though.

nobody agrees with the roster, look what we got at the olympic, but hey as long as they know what they are fighting for and as long as they can reach it, we won't care who's on the roster, during the olympics i was like what fleury, lindros, what are we gonna do with those guys and macinnis, too old

I'm not sure if we had a checking line at the Olympics, but we had a useless line though . You know that line with Shanahan, Lindros and I don't remember who's the 3rd player? That line didn't do a thing. At least with a checking line, it won't probably score many goals but it would shut down other offensive lines. Me too I don't agree with Regehr, Morrow and Yzerman but hopefully, Gretzky and co know what they're doing.

haha, i love how u name it the "useless line" (i think the 3rd player is fleury), and yea they didnt do anything in the turny. im also hoping dat gretzky and co knows what they are doing, and since they won the gold last time out, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. still, if we finish lower then 1st, u just know dat lots of ppl will point to those players (regehr, yzerman, morrow, etc) and say "i told u so!"

quick, who r u guys picking to win the cup??
my pick is Cgy in 7!!

Is crazy in Flames country... Everyone have those flags on their cars.

I was brave enough to ask a local Jersey city if they have one for Lightening... and I felt a chill because everyone just stare at you as if you just piss everyone by saying something stupid. (crazy flames fans )

Anyways I do feel Flames has a great chance and I should be in Calgary for 2 of their home games

haha it is crazy here in calgary! pratically everyone has a car flag some ppl have up to 9! you don't need that many flags people!

but i think its only gonna get worse if the flames win the stanley cup! think of 17th Ave even more people are gonna go there now~

what's cool is that game 1 and game 2 are gonna be shown on the jumbo-tron at the saddledome all you need to bring is a donation and its basically free~
lot's of people predicting the same thing calgary in 6~

    yeah for calgary!

    The score
    CGY beats TB 4-1

that first goal was weird though.
and it was so nice that they gave Roman Turek the green hardhat =)

When I drove by Edmonton this weekend, I notice there was sign (the highway from Calgary to Red Deer to Edmonton)

Edmonton: The City of Champion... then there was another sign that said We are still the champion (I assume referring to the success of the Flames)

I had a chuckle out of that.

Also isn't Ignle (sp) from Edmonton... so I assume lots of fans there cheering for him.

    Ya Iggy is from Edmonton

Turek got the green hard hat for being a positive influence around his team-mates prior to game 1
Basketball is the second most exciting indoor sport, and the other one shouldn't have spectators.

It should be interesting in the Flordia because now you have 2 teams TB and Panthers both trying to develop into a good team.
