nono, i mean jason king, our leadin scorer for the moose, 7 goals and 2 assists in 4 games, is the player of the wk for the first wk.
Too bad there is no hockey season..................... Any predictions on who would have won if there was a hockey season???
I think it would be Calgary Flames. If not them, then the Tampa Bay Lightning. It's the era of the young teams....... Toronto Leafs are too old. Philadelphia plays a bruising game but i dont think they can get far into the playoffs again against the newer and fresher teams.
Well if there was a hockey season i think it's too early to guess who wins i got my eyes on gretz's team and also florida, but calgary and tampa will not win another one if there is a season, and if possible go toronto
base on the current "roster" each team have rite now, i'd say TB, Ott, Dal, and Det are the final 4 teams, with Ott winning it all.
are you serious dallas, they got nothing good that i'm looking forward to and you can't forget underdogs, i would replace dallas with toronto, but then again i'm probably more leaned towards toronto ne waysOriginally Posted by superkaratemonkey
tor is in the east tho, and i pick ott and tb over them. altho tor beat ott every yr, well mabbe this yr ott will get to play somebody else?
i personally hate the stars, but i think they have a good team. modano wont be playin as bad as last yr, then they have guerin, arnott, lethinen, morrow up front, zubov, boucher and klemm on D, and turco in net. on paper, they are better then most of the western conference teams, except mabbe col and det. its hard to pick underdog cuz any of the bottom feeders can surprise, so im just gonna stick w/ the favorites.
well most of the star players in dallas are old, so i wouldn't expect them to do great work, and don't forget sj remember their great run last year, and yes calgary the underdog, well vancouver can be that underdog this year too, you never know, hey maybe my edmonton can be but i doubt, it we have the worst coaching staff and management staff ever, you know, Lowe and MacT sux
ppl said det is too old for the 02-03 season, but dat didnt stop them from winnin the cup. i think they have too much fire power and too good of a goalie to not go far next season. all they need is 1 top notch dman.
sj, dont think too highly of them, to me they are like the wilds from a couple yrs ago, good goalie, roll over 4 lines, 1 star player and a bunch of lesser-known. wont expect them to be back in the western CF next yr.
cgy, like all cinderella teams they'll disappear next yr. expectation get too high, they wont be able to repeat.
van, my fav team, but they wont go far for one reason-cloutier. if hes healthy enuff hes shaky at best, and hes gettin pretty injury prone nowadays.
edm, not a chance, not good enuff G to carry this team of AHLers to the PO
Everything comes down to goale and calgary is not an underdog ne more, ppl will shoot at them and give them hell, so that's a reason why they probably won't go far, edmonton, man we suck, come on we have some decent players but they leave ne ways, and mangagement hardly match up to the nhl standards, that's why i think, so us albertans aren't gonna get a cup unless something drastic changes
i think the flames will be ok next yr, w/ kipper in the net the whole season. they wont win the cup tho.
edm....*headshake*....its so sad to see how they went from dominating everybody in the '80s, to being just competitive in the '90s, to bottom feeder nowadays. lowe need to go
hey theres worst teams that fell into a even more screwed hole than us, but can't you imagine, we're talking about possible nhl season, while those happy americans are out there watching baseball, what's your opinion on baseball, i think it's not a great sport, cause it's american and cause you hit a ball and run in a circle. professional baseball players hit 3 out of 10 shots that comes towards them, if a hockey goalie stops 3 out of 10 shots that comes towards them they'd be playing backyard hockey!!
Sorry - apostrophes not working.
Ah crap! I miss hockey. You guys have been without hockey since the last playoffs. I ve been without hockey since last October. I ve been in Asia since then.
James, guess who I am?
Go Nazzie, Bert, Mo, Jovo, and the rest (if there was a season)!!!
well just to tell u i don't think bertuzzi will be playing, cause he got hit bad with charges from law courts and the nhl, who remembers that, superkaratemonkey?
ya Bert is out and is kind of sad too, he is in his prime too and the hockey stand off doesn't help either.
But to me Cam Neely is my all time great power forward that got his career shut down because of injuries.
And zhaozilong44 hmmm I have no ideaIt usually Supermonkey and Trizz who is active posters here, while Canuck and I will drop in and out sometimes to this thread. But without a hockey season it has been really slow.
Flame on I am gone...
Is the best thing since ICQ
you can tell it's really, really slow here, when there was hockey it was like 5 post a day here and if not it's like 1 post for every three day
HEHE If you following the WHL, Saskatoon Blades are on a roll![]()

i think baseball is really boring to watch. the pitcher takes forever to make a pitch, the batter have a 25% chance of hitting, and when he does hit its usually a ground ball. oh well, some ppl likes it so what can u do? to me its as slow a game to watch as golf.
the nhl is waitin for the law suit to end, and dat wont start till january. oh well, theres no season for bert to play in anyways, so its no big deal.Originally Posted by trizz251
