I don't agree. Canada has never dominated so much before. In fact, during their Gold medal years, they used to start slow. The only team from memory that was really dominant was last year's team which was basically this year's team but this time, the team is even strounger.
My obsessions: Joy Division, New Order, Bones, The Office.

i'm kinda worry cause everytime we come out with a blast, we die down in the most important games, which is not good. but ya it's true this year is the only year in my memory that i can see canada dominating this much, hahaha

and james falling in love with the flames!!! don't let it burn you, and i wouldn't cheer for them yet, look at all those one hit wonders, carolina, anahiem, minnesota, and so on

You know when the Nuks went to that cup that year... lots of people cheer for them I didn't jump on the bandwagon but every year when the Flames get closer to the cup I get this feeling I want to cheer them on and eventually do... it doesn't help when most of your friends are also flame fans... and even have relatives on the team that can get you tickets free to the game...

Leafs never offer me anything except for the 93 playoff run

haha, the flames only made the playoff 1 out of the last 6/7 yrs, i dont think they "get closer to the cup" every year! u have relatives on the team? then i dont blame u for cheering for them. who do u know?

I mean in the 88's hehe when I was wee little... I was a flame fan then till 93 when Gilmour and Clark show me the light of the Leafs

but then lately Sundin and gang just blew it out

A friend of mine is related to Rhett Warrener (who play for the Saskatoon Blades as a junior). I think I mention about one of my manager nephew is Robyn Regehr. Also one of my friend suppose to be friends with Jarome Iginla but I don't know if that is true or not...

Cool. One of my ex co-worker's friend has a friend who knows people in both the Flames organization and the WWE. My ex co-worker got the opportunity to go into the Flames dressing room and met all the guys. He told me they're really not that big without their uniforms/shoulder pads. A few of them are my size and I'm only 5"7".

When Stu Hart died, all the WWE people came to Calgary for his funeral. My co-worker's friend went to the funeral and met Vince McManh and company.

anyway, I hate the Flames, but I'm stuck in Calgary. I was thinking of moving to Edmonton or Toronto (I love the city), but my loyalty will always remain with the Nucks!

Hehe nuks fan... the only nuks I really like was Cam Neely who started his career in Vancouver but too bad he is known as a Bruin more then Nuks.

Ya Stu Hart and Wrestling is huge in calgary... he trained so many great one that is in the business today. I always thought when Brett Hart left WWE or when Owen Hart died in the ring, the relationship between the Hart family and the WWE would go on a sour note... but it hasn't so there is still great respect for the Hart family.

too bad all you pplk have connections, i don't. but oh well, as an edmontonian i can never see myself cheering for the flames but last year when they made it to the finals i hated the lightnings even more so flames it is, but they let me down, 2 years in a row i predicted the wrong winner, i guess it's all these under dogs.

hey finals tonight, go team canada

i know! i mean, im glad canada is kickin *** and all, but beating every team by at least 5 goals kinda make the game boring. the usa vs czech game was alot better to watch, specially the OT. that Liken (sp?) guy for usa must be the worst player in this turny, every time the american get in trouble defensively (and thats ALOT of times) its becuz of him.
