Badenow is telling the players to play in Europe for all of this and next season. I guess that means no NHL for 2 years. Well, like most people, I cheer for my team and not necessarily the players on it.

Ya if that is the case I thnk the whole NHL will collapse and there will be another NHL league starting again.

Some of the key player for the talks should step down and let others step up and figure this out.

The really good thing about this I thought fans would be the once getting hurt by this but I really think the longer this takes the fans will realize they just save money and time for actually supporting these teams and players over the years.

if i were a coach i'd tell my players to bodycheck everything in their way haha i dont know why but i like a game thats physical...to an extent

i think badenow (haha nice one there zhao) is bluffing one last time before he fold. w/ all the players now leaving their european teams i dont think europe is such an attractive option for them anymore (moving halfway around the world to a foreign country with foreign language and leaving your home and playing for 10% of their nhl salary really doesnt sound like a good option to me to begin with).

i agree w/ james. theres not gonna a clear cut "winner" even if there is a cap, becuz both side will have to give something back to get something they want. but i think the owners will get their cap....next year

theres a rumor going on that the nhl and nhlpa are about to sign an 8 yr deal, and we'll be seeing nhl hockey on feb 14.
dont put too much stock in it, but it still give me a glimmer of hope

Where did u hear this rumour? Any sources? Personally i don't think there will be hockey this year. I'll just have to wait till june when the CFL starts

Since the stanley cup is canadian, so what i heard is that the winners of the memorial cup, allan cup and several other leagues accross canada wants to file to challenge for the cup this year and the trustees are actually considering it, yeah we getta watch the cup get taken away, haha i read it in the papers last night and i can't find the article online but oh wells, just to let you guys noe and a season with 32 games is stupid

I heard that if the season does go thru, there will be 24 regular games and then the playoff... The funny thing is the playoff is going to be longer then regular season So bacically if there is a season, it will probably be the first time where everyone is in the playoff.

i rather is just write off the season and have everything settled for next season. I mean it already sucked in 95 when they had forty something games and now if they do have a season, it'll be shorter. I mean what's the point? A true Stanley Cup champion has to play 82 games and go through the wear and tear.

i heard ppl wanting a 30 team tourney for the stanley cup, for me that doesn't work, theres gonna be teams that get a by and that's not gonna be good for all the teams

it WAS on sportsnet.ca, on the hockey hearsay page, but its gone now, so i guess it wasnt even legit enuff to be a rumor
if the cba is sign today and they play a 24 games schedule and the canucks win the cup, im not gonna complain , to me its just as legit as the other cup winners, cuz its the PO dat determine the champ, not the regular season, so as long as the PO format remains the same, i dont really care how many games of regular season hockey we have.
