most nuks fans are logical, like me , but theres always some fans not so knowledgable and only wanna see the cup here, disregarding everything that happens.
i think you've gotta have fighting, it is more than just a tradition. for example, if moore had fought bertuzzi instead of skating away, bertuzzi will not sucker punch him. fighting actually let players release their anger and settle the score in a relatively safe way. when players cant fight, like college hockey, you see ALOT more stick swinging and hitting from behind, because they cant settle the score by fighting. if you look at the stats, players getting seriously hurt from fighting is much lower than stick swinging and hitting from behind

haha im really starting to regret picking Col to win the cup, apparently i left out many things from consideration . forsberg mite be hurt alot worse then i expected since he havent play in a long time. granato is a horrible coach. and kariya/selanne is playing like plummers. and Det just got hatcher back, soon Cujo will return too. its not looking so good the the Avs rite now.
trading salo is a good move for the oilers IMO. makkenan(sp?) is as good as salo, and again its not like the oilers are making the PO so no point keeping salo. i dunno how much salo will actually help the Avs when/if they need him in the PO, ever since the olympics salo had be average at best and awful at worst. im suprise smith is still there though, i thought he would be traded for sure.

About Bertuzzi. I think he will be gone for remainder of the year and the playoffs. That is how it looks like from the Media are saying.

Don Cherry says losts of stuff, i think he'll stay on the side of Moore, i don't think he'll stick up for Bertuzzi, but you'll never know.

The favourites for the west are COL and Det for the East i say Ott, Tor and Tampa and maybe philly, but they've been slacking recently, not meeting up to expectation, so i wouldn't count on it.

What's wrong with the nuk fans they are crazy, the guy was half dead and they say he deserved it, no one would say something like that here (edmonton) maybe cause we see the cup too much already, so it doesn't matter.

omg vancouver got fined quarter of a million and bertuzzi got fined half a million, and bertuzzi's eligibility to play next year will be determined by the commisoner. so i guess the NHL is really making a point that stuff like this cannot be tolerated.

yup, I didn't find the fine that harsh for what Bertuzzi did... doesn't he make that much a year anyways or more.

O well hope it doesn't ruin Bertuzzi's career.

y ahe got a good future ahead of him so it wouldn't do much to his career, i hope, but it'll establish an image of a mean bully so don't mess with him, and Moore should learn from his lessons to don't touch anyone on the ice if they got backup, ones that are vicous and way bigger than you. hehehe

im dont agree with the suspension bertuzzi gets. i mean i fully support the league throwing the book at bert, but to leave his suspension openended? i dunno. how is bert and the canucks supposed to move on if they dunno when bert will ever play again? how is the nuks to sign free agent? make trades? when u dunno when your second best player will be allowed to play again how ru supposed to build a team?

what Bertuzzi did was wrong yes... but the media ripped him apart. I guess people only cares if the action is wrong if someone gets hurt. If Bertuzzi sucker punch Moore and Moore just got brusies would he get the same treatment?... probably not. Because Moore got hurt that lead to what we have today.

But then again looking at it in another view, Heatly for example... didn't he drive with influence of liquor and kill a man... his own teammate... and yet he is still playing hockey... shouldn't he be in jail or something. Just because he did something outside of the hockey rink is all okay. (and also the family of the guy he killed forgave him)

Hockey rules doesn't make sense sometimes.

the reason the media was so harsh on bert is becuz hes always so rude to them, whereas heatley was very nice and accomadating. is it fair? of course not, but its just human nature to rip into a meanie than a nice guy.

as well, bert's incident was a violent act caught on tape. then you have all these know-nothing-about-hockey media people, especially the americans, who condamn him because they just saw the punch. and yesterday on "The View", the show with the 4 american women usually talking about hair or whos getting fat, for some reason they feel the need to talk about something they know nothing about-hockey. the worst thing is they call bert's apology an act!! and then u have reggie miller on a radio show calling bert a goon and hes not suprise bert would do sumthing like this! wtf does this guy know about hockey!? bert was a frist team all star last yr, score 46 goals, 5th in league in points, was a starter for the all star game, and i suppose he did all that because hes a goon rite?
i think bert is getting such a bad rap, especially in the states, is because all these media people running their mouth about a sport they never watch. even when they try to research into the matter they still get it wrong. regis said the incident was building up for three months since the moore/naslund hit! get it straight regis, its three weeks . you call yourself a journalist!? go back to being not funny on millionaire

They call Football physical I think Hockey is more physical then Football.

Also the girls on the View knows nothing and Regis well sometimes he rant off about stuff he doesn't know... and I still remember Kathy Lee (for the first time in my life I thought she said something right) slap at Regis for making a bad comment about football because she does know more then Regis (she married one)

i agree with you both the media is messed up they like to exploit as much people as possible, plus this is a canadian game and i beleive that americans don't even know the slightest thing about hockey, they don't even know which end of the hockey stick is the top, they don't even know what a puck looks like, they think all us canadians live in igloos, we're all lumber jacks and fur tradees, plus we only have ham and honey curlers no doughnuts and bacon. They shouldn't even make any comments about this.

I feel sry for Bert for being exploited so bad, it's not right, you can't treat ppl this way, it's wrong and not cool.

hey trizz, hows nedved doing in edmonton? he scored a couple goals against the canucks last wk rite? how bout other players you got near the trading deadline? r they doing any good?
i know here in vancouver, ruchinski and sanderson had been great. i think ruchinski had 1G 2A in 3 games, and sanderson have 2G 1A in 3 games. pretty nice stats they got so far, hope they keep it up! if only nazzy and morrison will start scoring again this team will be awesome.

Nedved kicks, but markenen, i don't know, the kid from colorado, he's in the AHL rite, so he's useless, so there was no point in the salo trade, that was useless, we got rid of a star goalie who slacked off his game after the olympics, (another story) ya but he would off done better if you gave him time to heal from his olympic wounds and personal wounds, (divorce) poor guy, now he's moving too. I don't know if Kevin Lowe made the rite choice getting rid of salo, but it may do good to keep nedved alive in our city. lol, dilema
