I feel so bad for Ron when Joyce Cheng kissed him lol I read in the newspapers after that incident and from the pictures, you can tell that ron was very uncomfortable, and it also said that a great amount of ron fans were mad =P

And on the topic of Joyce Cheng (yeah this is sort of like..not supposed to be in the ron forum..but...yeah) The big deal about her being Snow White in the Disney opening ceremony, it's so crazy because TVB got over 300 complaints all directed to her and people said they wanted to throw up when they saw her as Snow White. And an HK magazine was giving posters with Joyce as a dart board! I feel bad for Joyce, her self confidence must have gone down the toilet, but at the same time she sort of deserves it in my opinion, because she's not part of TVB. She only got the part because of her mother. And just yesterday, in the newspaper they had a web poll on who is the best choice for portraying Snow White. 38 year old Vivian Chow beat her, with almost 400 votes (Joyce got 40)! A woman nearing 40, preferred over this 18 year old. Even Ronald Cheng got a higher rank than Joyce which is quite humrous lol.

lol thanks for telling us but i dunno how to explain but like the three hundred complaints doesn't 成立 or somthing like that cos like some executives or somt went discussing about it or smt i forgot but like they gave joyce a 清白 lol and ron wants to work with joyce again.......

i think it's quite bad to criticize joyce like that. i think there's nothing wrong if she's snow white or what. i mean, she's only working right? people should give her the chance and not judge her by how she looks or how she have famous parents. poor joyce i'll say

It's true that she was just working and she deserves a chance, but many people are saying that like if not for her mother and her famous story of her diet and all the publicity she's gotten, the role of Snow White would not have been given to her.

I agree that she deserves a chance, but reality is, if you want to be on TV, looks are a must and because you are choosing to put yourself on display on TV, basically you are asking people to judge you. And Cherrie, I just want to make sure that I'm not criticizing and insulting Joyce, I was telling the facts so people could debate.

And I absolutely sympathize with her because being a teenage girl at her age, after going through a diet that makes her look a lot better and prettier and even getting chances to take on quite important roles in TVB events, she would be feeling very good about herself. I think anybody would, and I can't imagine how she feels, that not only did she not get the praise she wanted, but has been infamous in the entertainment news headlines for a weeks. Getting complaints, that's acceptable, but the whole dart board poster is just disrespectful in my opinion.

And I did watch the Disney opening ceremony, and I thought Joyce was fine, and I didn't "want to throw up" as people in Hong Kong claimed, at all. But I would understand how people think Joyce was not suitable for this role because Snow White depicts a pure, innoccent image and in the web poll I mentioned before, Vivian Chow at 38 still holds a more pure image than Joyce (thats what the newspapers implied). Personally, if Joyce did not take on this role, I would probably have wanted Gillian from Twins to be Snow White. She's pretty and holds a good image. And by saying that, by no means did I say Joyce does NOT have a good image. -__- I think I've typed too much now lol.

yes i agree with you. you're right. but you know what i don't understand of ppl who criticize her? yes, like you said, why the dartboard? it's not as if joyce had done them any wrong or what right? speaking your opinions are fine, but to the extent? it seems too much.
so what if she succeeds in her diet and all? that does not make her less a person right? sometimes ppl can just be too judgemental.

Vivian does feel and look very much like Snow White while Joyce does not. maybe, she could select the work she does more carefully in future. nothing against Joyce though.

I think Joyce is kinda pretty now, after she lost all the weight and stuff,.. quite sucessful at it too, after all TVB said that they only produce artists, equipement and time, etc.. so it isnt reali her fault that she got selected right??.....i mean why do the audience think that joyce is gross, disgusting? i think shes kinda pretty and hav a pretty slim body... hmmm any comments?

Yeah, I think maybe the audience just remembers how she was extremely overweight when she was young and they get a bad feeling about it. Obviously she is a lot slimmer now compared to before, but we can't compare her with other TVB actresses / singers.

And as for not being her fault that she got selected, I'm not really sure about the details on that, but many believe that mainly she got selected because her mother had some say in it (?) or at least she was a factor in the choice, plus since she is not a part of TVB, maybe she had the choice to turn down the job? Don't take my word for it though, but that is what I've heard some people say. And I agree that Joyce should definitely be more careful in the future of what jobs she takes on.

cherrie, yousendit does take a long time. what kind of file is it? rm or mpg? cuz in both cases, i can send u something that will allow you to cut out just the ron part, which will make it a lot smaller
