King of newcomers Ron Ng and beauty Tavia Yeung are trying something new away from their usual acting jobs as they take part in Metro Radio's radio drama "Lab Stories on the 28th Floor", where they play a pair of lovers. This is their second time paired up after TV series "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" and their show will be airing on the 9th of August when you can hear Tavia play the lady at the lab and Ron play the drug company salesman. Ron says this character is a new experience for him and it is very cute.

Working on a radio drama for the first time, Ron and Tavia are both very happy and on the day of recording, the two were very serious as they went about their debut on the airwaves. As their acting training has paid off, then reading the scenes from a script is of little challenge to them and as they have worked together before, then they already have an understanding and therefore completed the recording very quickly.

On the day of recording, there were a number of people present, including the original author Wai Yuk and producer Chan Siu Chi who had prepared some snacks and drinks for them before they went ahead to scrutinise the script in a very happy and relaxed atmosphere. Ron indicated that he was not nervous for his first radio performance and it was not hard work, but a good laugh. His character was a little different from any he had played in the past, so the more he read it the happier he became. He would most like to have the chance to play a bad guy because just using his voice to act this has some difficulty to it. You don't need expressions to act on the radio,so he finds this even more interesting than filming in front of the camera.

Also making her radio debut, Tavia feels that the process was very enjoyable and she was a little nervous to start with. She is looking forward to seeing the reception to her performance and she will be telling all her friends to tune in and hopes that she will have another chance to do it again.

Anyways seems like he has a tendency to wear hats and not smile in pictures!!! Lol. He needs to smile in more pictures

His female co-stars that take pics with him always smile so wide!!! Lol ^_^

anyhoo a question to ask. Ron never was in a series with Gallen Lo was he? I mean I know Ron was in Golden Faith but it was a small role and he was a cop! and the only cops that really interacted with Gallen's character was Michelle, Deric and Carlos. does anyone know if there was others?

I think that's the only series that Ron was in co-starring w/Gallen.

Btw you guys are welcome! But based on characters and their interactions(from reading the episodes) I still think Ron & Nancy are a better match

Nancy's affections and performance are far more in depth than Leila's. If you guys watch the series, maybe it'll be a different view. Since Leila's actual character does not end w/Ron nor do Ron actually love....you never know, hope he'll fall for Nancy

'Cept, TVB mixed two of Ron's love interests in the actual book into one...and that's Leila. :P Ron ends up with the other love interest, but since TVB decided to combine them, he'll probably end up with Leila ^^;

Besides, maybe Ron likes hard-to-get girls loll

Episode 16 = must see for Ron and Leila fans. YumMMy

Hehe, maybe Versace. You've got a point though since thoughts before watching a serie can always be changed once you actually get to see everything for yourself.

I will be paying more attention to Nancy's acting though since she was quite raw in TITS plus her character was quite minor with little screen time. In TOB though, she has quite a lead role huh?

I wouldn't have minded if TVB instead of combining two of the characters just have another actress play her. But I guess it would be too obvious who he ends up with the. But then again TVB always doesn't followthe novel ending.

no offense to Ron's fans but I think he looks alot better in modern series than costume. he looks really silly sometimes lol maybe its because of the sun, but i've noticed that Ron squints alot in TOB.

He might be sensitive to the sunlight like I am ^^; Or it could be because he's supposed to have super eyesight and he has to squint to activate it...or he's squinting to stare at Leila LOL

Hi Guys!

Ron is most likely near sighted. He wear glasses although sometimes it looked like he is wearing them for a fashionable fit. I do think Ron looked quite funny in ancient but I'm getting used to his ancient looks right now.

And plus factor is that Ron is afraid of 'heat' or hot weather(he mentioned in some article).

Regarding TVB changing stories when it comes to series based on novels is not suprising because I have this feeling they think not a lot of people actually read the novel itself. Even if some do, they can't do jip about TVB....LOL They do have money and power.

Yeah, I've heard some people mention taht Ron's character in TOB has some special powers with his eyes. What is that about?

I wonder if Ron usually wears contacts then? Yeah, those glasses that he sometimes wears does look more like its adding to his "style." They really match him well though, he looks nice in them, hehe.

Anyways I don't quite mind Ron in ancient or modern. I've only seen him in two series, one modern and one ancient. So can't judge too much. I don't have a preference however. In modern he looks more cute and adorable. As for ancient, he has the more "heroic" look, hehe

Ron has special powers in ToB, he can see things from miles and miles away, while Ray can hear things from miles and miles away.

Ron's real cute when he wears glasses...sunglasses make him look a little funny...and I love it when he smiles aahh...he's so hot he looks good in any series...modern or ancient :P

Ron Ng and Tavia Yeung took part in a make-up demonstration at a promotion yesterday, but Ron made quite a hash of it all and even told the female fan not to move around so much, causing quite a few laughs! He says: "Men are not quite as used to putting on make up as women, so it was not that bad really! However, I feel that not wearing make up is the best, so getting a tan is enough and it saves some money too!"

Ron Ng and Sammul Chan were filming yesterday on the cliff faces of Shek O for "Police Cadet Brave Hearts" in a scene where the two are competing against each other in climbing a rock four to five storeys high. To ensure the ultimate safety, there were four professional climbers on hand to oversee the scene and even some of the crew had to wear safety gear and Ron and Sammul were both kitted out fully as they acted their roles without a stunt double, but definitely looking and acting the part. During the filming, the crew even threw little stones down at them to give the feeling of danger and making the two eat some dust!

This is the first time that Ron has filmed a climbing scene, but he was not afraid at all and was not shaky as he said: "This is filming close-up shots, so I have to do it myself, but the director needs some wide shots and in order to make it look more professional, there will be stand in to do that scene." When asked if he was afraid, he says: "Not really, the coaches were there and the feeling of hanging from the side of a mountain is quite high." He laughs that there have been many outdoor shoots for the show, inlcuding hill walking at Bat Sin Leng early that morning. When asked if he could handle it, he says: "I am okay, there was some wind and it was not very sunny." After saying this, he took his T-shirt off his back and squeezed out the sweat from it.

Sammul reveals that he ate the wrong food and had food poisoning earlier: "Before at Bat Sin Leng, I had diarrheoa and was looking around for a toilet everywhere. The crew said I was quite brave to drink fizzy soda after that. (Are you okay?) I'm okay." He reveals that his earlier neck injury has almost healed completely now, but he daren't move it too violently and is taking it easy during filming. When the press suggested he could do 'rock climbing physiotherapy', he laughs: "More like 'highly dangerous physiotherapy'!"

So Police Cadet Brave Heart is still filming? Somehow I thought it had finished, but anyways Ron does need to smile!!! Lol, like in most of his pictures he always has a more stern face on!!!
