Really? What are they? And when will they be released? Even they're release in China, I've to wait long for them to be released here. So just wait together. I intend to search for his work on the holiday although it's not very hopeful. However, just hope and hope.

Two series that should be released (hopefully) early next year are "Jiang Shan Feng Yu Qing" and "Yi Jiang Chun Shui Xiang Dong Liu". Filming for both of them have already been completed for awhile now. Another new unreleased series is "Wo Xin Fei Xiang".

I'm sure that Chen Dao Ming will make several new productions next year as well, so just wait and see.

I saw an interesting article entitled "The 2004 top 10 men you'd most want to marry" at daoming.net and guess who was number one? Yep, Chen Dao Ming. He has said in the past that "Especially for a man, it's important to have a sense of responsibility for one's work, society, family, and children, for that determines the character of a REAL man." That's another reason why I respect Chen Dao Ming so much. He practices what he preaches. Unfortunately, the article didn't list the other 9 men. Too bad, 'cause I was kind of curious.

I will not doubt that Chen Daoming is a responsible person in real life because I have read an article about him giving his opinion regarding love and marriage too. Yeah, the article should have listed who the other 9 men were and the source this article was taken from because it would give some validity to the claim and allow us to compare. Otherwise, some people might not believe it because the article was from a Chen Daoming's fan site. Hopefully, Lady Zhuge will share more news with us from this site because I can't read the articles there although I believe this site has the latest up-to-date news about Daoming.

You're right. And I'm always waiting for any news about him. I've never heard any bad news about him so far, which makes me more respect him.

The same to me. I'm just keeping hope that they'll shown one of his series here during this holiday.

Lady Zhuge, can you tell something more about the new series? What is it about? Which type of character does he play?

The only thing about CDM that I don't like is that he's a smoker.

I'm not sure what WXFX is about. I only know that it's set in the 1930's.

The first half of YJCSXDL has been released: http://us.yesasia.com/en/artIdxDept....ection-videos/

    ****SPOILERS****

CDM plays the wealthy Wu San gong zi who ends up committing suicide as a result of continuous disappoints in life. The whole series is very tragic and after having just finished watching "Long Piao", I'm not sure I want to see it.

    ****END of SPOILERS****

I'm currently watching "Yi Di Ji Mao", in which CDM plays a guy with the surname of Lin. Most people call him xiao Lin. The series orbits around his daily work and family life. After one episode, I've found it utterly dull. It's only 10 episodes long, though.

The same to me. Just hope that he can stop smoking, just for the sack of his health.

According to what you say, his new series are not good, right? I don't know if have a chance to see if it's not good. however, if you don't like some of his series, it's ok. He used to say that no actor can make sure all his works will be appreciated by the viewers, and he never hopes that all his roles are liked, as it's impossilbe.

I've just finished some clips at daoming.net, and I have something to wonder. I notice that he usually appears with a cap on his head no matter where he was- on the stage, in a meeting, press conference or an interview. And I wonder why? It seems funny. His head is not bad-looking . Do you know why?

It's not that YJCSXDL is not good. It's just that I'm not in the mood for another tragedy so soon after having watched "Long Piao".

As for YDJM, it's not a new series. It was made quite awhile ago. Some people really like it, as they're of the opinion that it portrays life so realistically, but I've just found it boring.

True, it's not like he's balding and he does have a nice head of black hair. Hmm...maybe it's just his personal preference.

Yeah, I am worried for his health too if he continues smoking so many cigarettes a day.... Hopefully he will come to his senses and stop smoking once and for all!

Some screen caps which I believe are from YJCSXDL:

I hope so too, but old habits die hard. It's possible that he's not a heavy/chain smoker, though.

It's not very difficult to quit, though. It's just that he doesn't want to quit it. My father used to smoke more than a pack a day, but he finally stopped after he watched a film, I don't know it's official name in English, but roughly say "Corina, the housekeeper ". Have any of you seen it? It's about a father who seek for a housekeeper after his wife died to look after his daughter. The girl in the film doesn't want him to smoke, and she just takes away any cigarettes she sees, but he doesn't know until the end of the film. It's moving, and the father stops smoking for the sack of his child. And my father did the same. Just hope that he will see it, and do the same as my dad.

Yeah, maybe it's just his liking. But I still find it funny. And it's once more shows that he's a very strange person. Anyway, he has a special style, both in films and in reality, that I can't express but I can feel it, and I like it very much.

I don't think it's fair to say that it's not difficult to quit smoking. It might be easy for some people, but not for others, so it really depends on the person. I think the most important thing is that the person must actually want to quit or find his or her own motivation to do so. It's like that transtheoretical model of change. If a person is in or around the precontemplation stage, change of behavior is almost impossible because the individual is not even aware of the problem. Good for your dad that he saw the light and managed to quit without much difficulty, though. I also hope that CDM will follow suit. No, I've never seen that movie you mentioned. It sounds like a moving story, though.

The film isn't very moving, though. In fact, it's quite funny, just the ending is moving for the relationships between them become better.

Yeah, I wasn't very fair about the matter. Of course, it's not easy to quit, I mean if he really wants to, then it's not very difficult.
I wonder if he knows there're at least 3 of his fans hoping he'll stop smoking, will he find it a motivation to quit

Have you finished Nu Xun An yet? I want to ask something about the content for I missed some episodes then.

That's the thing, though. Does he really want to quit?

Nope, I haven't watched past the first few episodes. I'm watching way too much stuff right now so like I said earlier, I probably won't finish this anytime soon.

    Thanks for the links.

I've been so busy with the new semester that I found no time to log in. I guess you're all the same, right? However, I just drop in to keep the thread up. Hope that you'll soon come back.

Hi! I hope that you're all doing well. Those are some interesting wallpapers indeed Fei Fei, except yes, the last one is rather disturbing. Second semester just started for me today, so my time on this forum should be reduced very significantly. I did start to watch "Shao Nian Bao Qing Tian" (Young Justice Bao) the other day and it's very good! It's split up into various detective investigation cases set in ancient times with the head sleuth being Bao Zheng played by Zhou Jie. Chen Dao Ming plays the suave and righteous 8th 'wang ye' and he appeared in the very first case. Hopefully during some breaks from studying, I will get a chance to finish watching this. Take care and good luck in your studies!
