    Default The Reunion

Well this series was released out awhile ago and I think there was already several threads on it, but its gone now. Anyways I've just saw this series like a few weeks ago and I wanted to discuss about it

Just in case anyone doesn't know, the series stars:
    Chew Chor Meng
    Terrence Cao
    Tay Ping Hu
    Li Lin
    Yvonne Lim
    Joey Swee
    and etc..........

I found this series to be extremely good and to me its actually one of the best Spore series I've seen!!! The storyline was interesting and it could have been better if a few things was fixed.

The casting was perfect. Everyone fit their roles and I really liked teh characters. Each character had a special trait about them. I espically liked Tay Ping Hu and Terrence Cao's character the most. I admired Tay Ping Hu's determination to be the best of the best and how he tryed to put his past aside and make a new future for himself. Then what I admired most of Terrence's character would be his undieing love for Yvonne and how he repays back whoever did something for him plus how he keeps his promises and all. I think he would be my top fav. if only he hadn't been bad ya know? Don't even want to mention Chew Chor Meng. I hate him in here!!!

I liked Li Lin and Joey a lot too. Li Lin knew what was right from wrong and she stood for what she believed in. Joey was like Terrence, she would do almost anything for the one she loved, but she knew if it was true love. I was sad when she died for Terrence. Now Yvonne was just too niave, but she had a sweet heart. Gosh, she looked really scary after she was dumped by CCM!!!

I really liked those scenes between Li Lin and Tay Ping Hu. They matched out so nicely!!! They had a lot of sweet and touching scenes. My favorite would be when Tay Ping Hu returned from America to Singapore and he was admitted into the hospital after fainting in the streets. Li Lin was called in since they found a letter with her name on it with Tay Ping Hu. Well anyways she opened up the letter and read it. There she found out that Tay Ping Hu was an undercover specialist cop or whatever and all he was doing before was for his job. Plus he still loved her. Gosh, the music that was playing and the flashbacks that was being played while she read the letter made it even better. I loved that scene!!! I wished that the two could have ended up together in the end though

Wow, I wrote a lot. Anyways I hope others reply to this thread and you'll hear more from me since I have lots more to say, hehe. Bye now guys!!!

I've watched a few episodes here and there. Even though I don't know the whole thing but I like Terrence's character too! He's just so kewl!

    Chew Chormeng's character had sorta of a sad ending. He was betrayed to death by the ones he trusts and loves. e.e;

I'm not positive, but from a few friends they've said the same thing. So I think it will probably show.

I know!!!! Terrence's personality and all was great!!! The thing I liked most about him was the whole repaying someone's gratitude plus his friendship with Tay Ping Hu. Even though he shot TPH, later in the series it shows how painful he felt for doing such a thing. Also I remember the scene towards the end where he shot TPH and then had the opportunity to kill him, but didn't saying he will repay him back for letting him live and all. Anyways before he left he told Li Lin to press hard on the wound or he'll die of blood lost. He is still a really good friend since from what I see of that scene, he didn't need to tell Li Lin that at all since not killing TPH in the first place meant already repaying him back.

Yeah, but CCM diffintely deserved it. I don't really see it as real betrayal, more as the truth. Since CCM did steal money from the company and he deserves to be put into jail. Also all the bad things he has done makes him deserve his death even more.

One question I have is that at the end when he held Li Lin hostage and was going to shoot her. He meant to right? But why didn't the gun go off? Was it just not filled with a bullet or something?

I forgot... but I do not think he really meant to kill her. That's the impression I got when I watched the last episode (which I can't remember much of anymore). I've never really liked Li Lin's character. I do not like her betraying CCM the way she did, even if he's some villain. It's a total backstabbing, quite cheap and unhonourable, I must say.

I question that scene very often because from his face emotion and action it seemed like he did want her dead. If I remember correctly when he pulled the trigger and nothing happened the look of shock apepared on his face so that meant he did want her dead I guess. But then again I think to how much he supposedly loves her. Hmmm...but now that I'm thinking it seems like the scale leans for wanting to kill her.

I was rather shocked/interested in seeing Li Lin's determination to revenge for her father's death. Didn't exactly seem like what she would do you know? Anyways like I've mentioned I don't mind the backstabbing there since he deserves it. However I dind't like how she used her daughter Tina to do it. This could make some large impact on Tina later on if she finds out her father's death has something to do with her and its actually her that made it possible for her mother to betray her father and all.

Yep. That's the part which made me really disgusted. She made use of her daughter, and of CCM's love for Tina.

Hehehe, I'm guessing your online right now huh Guo Xiang? Except in invisible mode right? Hiding from goddess?

Yeah, agree on that. I guess I've found one thing that I admire about Chew Chor Meng's character. His love for his daughter.

Little Guo Xiang has grown to love hiding herself.

Yeah he does loves his daughter. I find it sad because he trusted Tina 101% without knowing that she's on a mission of her mother's to backstab him.

    Lol Guo Xiang

Hmmm....I'm not sure that it should be called trust. I'm not positive, but I think that CCM did not intintionally show Tina his password. I think it was more that she was playing in his office and he happened to type it in. Not that he purposely showed her. I would agree tht he loved her, but not exactly trusted her.

Well, he trusted her enough to let her sit on his lap while he types the password to his private files. If CCM did not trust Tina enough, he wouldn't let Tina have the chance. When he trusts her, it means having his guard extremely down. ^^

Yeah, your right. Lol. One point for Chew Chor Meng loving his daughter so much.

Hmmmm...I have one question on this series... You know the character Ellen or wahtever? She was also a lawyer who Li Lin disliked since she killed her mother. Plus Chew Chor Meng had an affair with her? Well, what happened to her in the end? I don't think there was any mention of her after she hit Li Lin's father unconcious or whatever.

The lawyer? She didn't have an ending.
Anyway, she's a B in show, and in real life.
