The talk show is hosted by members of Japan popular group SMAP. SSH competed with the five members in a Table Tennis match. Japan Sankei Sports described "He is 1.8m tall with long slender legs and a handsome image. However he showed no weakness in the ball game and fully displayed the essence of 'Heon-sama'." It was also reported that "while SMAP members were playing the ball, SSH also used psychological tactics etc. to challenge them in conversations." In the program, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, who is well-known in Korea as singer and actor, acted as translator.

omg. oppa is both gorgeous and cute!
even though he made a booboo sinking the white ball in his first shot , his pool skill is pretty impressive. what i love most is his facial expressions and his every moves ... sticking tongue out, squinting his eyes, his serious look, his cheer when winning, and the fact that he didn't loose his charm and determination even when being thrown in a game head-to-head with popular japanese men on a foreign land ... oppa throbs my heart even when he is only playing.

oppa beats the smap boys alive in term of look. i wonder what the smap boys thought of him ... maybe something like this ...

I can understand gentle glances but I'm not sure if I know what does he mean by "pure looking eyes"? Does it mean "innocent"?
I wonder if artificially enhanced eyelids are acceptable under his book?
If not then no surprise why he has a hard time because double eyelid surgery is very popular in S.Korea.

Amazing that a handsome and lovable stud like him still has hard time looking for a "nice girl" ... "for a long time." Do you think SSH is picky?

i think oppa is picky.
but for a guy of his popularity and "whole package", i dont blame his finickiness.

i guess cosmetic surgical girls are okay because oppa's rumored ex-girls are all under-the-knife experienced (choi jiwoo, sung yuri), and oppa once commented on son yejin beautiful eyes when her double lids are also artificial. hehe

almost all guy stars when interviewed would say they simply want a "nice" girl whose eyes are gentle, innocent, and blah blah blah, ...
i'm sure most guys value the virtue of "nice" over "naughty", but i still think being pretty putting the girl in much better advantage. i'm certain that oppa's future girl will be someone who is drop dead gorgeous among everything else that he prefers.

Been so busy with work lately. Haven't been on to see whats been going on. Working w/the govt. is not fun at all. The weird thing is that you get to see what they spend our hard earn tax money on, and what a waste (my opinion). This job is keeping me on my toes. At least I am done w/finals. YAY!!

Hmm, I tried to watch the video but did not understand, so oh well. Thanks for all the posting of the news, pics, vids of Oppa. Can't wait for his new drama to come out. So excited.

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season with your loved ones. Thank you all for being a part of the thread and for helping me to learn more about Song Seung Heon. Thank you all for posting all those pics. and doing all those translations and for encouraging me to want to learn Korean myself. Apart from this thread, there's no one else that I can talk to about our Oppa. So, I am grateful to you all for your devotion in keeping the thread active and lively.

I also hope that Song Seung Heon will have a remarkable and successful upcoming year filled with much praise, support, and adoration from his fans. It seems as if he's already at the top or height of his career with all eyes watching his every move. I worry about him and how he is handling all the limelight; I hope he is able to cope and control his high blood pressure...and not revert back to his smoking habit. I worry that people will forget that he is just human. Actors and other entertainers seem be maginfied into something more than just human by their fans. And so, when they fall, the fall is greater than if they were just seen as regular individuals. People, whether is be the press or their readers, tend to take a critical view of them and what they do because their expectations may be higher than what anyone can achieve. I hope his star will continue to rise. I hope that he will be able to meet and exceed his own expectations and be proud of what he accomplishes. More than anything, I want him to be happy with himself. I hope that he'll have a great holiday season with his family and loved ones. I hope that he will know that his fans (not just the ones in Japan) love and support him and all his endeavors and will continue to do so in the years to come. MBC 수목극 방송시간 선점 팽팽한 신경전 '골치' 송승헌과 고현정이 2007년 3월 방송을 놓고 치열한 ‘편성 빅뱅’을 펼치고 있다.

송승헌의 드라마 복귀작 ‘신들의 도시’(극본 오수연ㆍ연출 유정준)와 고현정이 주인공으로 출연하는 드라마 ‘HIT’(극본 김영현ㆍ연출 유철용)가 내년 3월 MBC 수목 미니시리즈 시간대를 놓고 예비 경쟁을 벌이고 있다.

‘신들의 도시’와 ‘HIT’ 모두 이 시간대 편성을 원하고 있다. 마치 송승헌과 고현정 화제의 톱스타들 간의 대리전 양상마저 보이고 있는 형국이다.

송승헌과 고현정은 향후 활동 스케줄 등 제반 여건 때문에 방송 시기 조절이 불가피하다. 내년 3월에 반드시 방송이 이뤄져야 하는 상황이다.

결국 두 작품 중 하나는 MBC에서 방송되는 걸 포기해야할지도 모른다. 송승헌과 고현정 입장에선 방송을 앞두고 편성을 놓고 자존심 대결을 벌이는 상황이다.

MBC 편성국 관계자는 “‘신들의 도시’와 ‘HIT’의 외주제작사가 모두 내년 3월 수ㆍ목요일 오후 10시대 방송을 원하고 있다. 두 작품 모두 화제작이어서 편성을 결정하기가 쉽지 않다. 방영 시기 조절을 통해 두 작품 모두 잡고 싶다. 주연 배우 스케줄 및 제작 여건 때문에 그럴 수 없는 상황이라 안타깝다”고 말했다.

‘신들의 도시’는 송승헌의 연기 활동 재개 작품인 점에서 송승헌이 제대하기 전부터 화제를 모았다.

송승헌은 부모를 죽음에 몰아넣은 원수들에 대한 복수를 위해 죽음을 가장하고 신분마저 위장한 채 복수극을 진행하는 인물로 등장한다.

그 와중에 원수의 딸과 이룰 수 없는 사랑에 빠져 복수와 사랑 사이에서 갈등하게 된다. ‘HIT’는 살인 전담 특수수사대 HIT(Homicide Investigation Team)의 활약상을 그리는 범죄 수사물이다.

고현정은 유능한 HIT 수사요원으로 등장해 거칠면서도 매력적인 여인상을 과시할 예정이다.

현재 ‘신들의 도시’와 ‘HIT’는 내년 3월 방송을 목표로 본격적인 제작 착수를 위한 막바지 준비에 들어갔다. 두 작품 모두 1월 중순께 촬영에 돌입할 예정이다.

편성이 확정되면 두 작품 중 하나는 다른 방송사를 택해야 한다.
