It's nice to hear that Oppa's departure from the army being compared to Elvis Presley's. For at least, Oppa is really a king of heart for many of us here.

Also nice to see that he has lots of supports from his sworn brothers as well.

The first is: does Oppa's drama entitled "Popcorn" known under another name? The second is: there's a chinese (?) version of "Lawfirm" available on E-bay with a black cover. Has anyone seen this version? If so, how are the english subtitles? I'm still trying to collect Oppa's dramas before he starts filming new ones. The one I still want the most is "Summer Scent" but to no avail.

Popcorn is known as Popcorn in chinese dubbed version too ( 爆玉米花 )
Same with Law Firm. The chinese version is 律師事務所 for Law Office.
Summer Scent is aka Summer Fragrance or Summer Aroma sometimes.

I only watched chinese dubbed dramas rented from local asian video stores. Yesasia usually carries the english dubbed version. If not there, have you tried Ebay?

Song Seung Hun and Han Ga In will be co-staring in MBC 2007 March Drama " The City Of God". Song Seung Hun will be playing a cold-hearted entrepreneur who changes greatly after all his family members died in an accident. Han Ga In will be playing a kind-hearted, positive thinking girl who meets and falls in love with Song Seung Hun but has to leave him because he was convicted of murder.

This drama will be focusing on the theme of how the love of two people who are going different directions in life, come together to mutually redeem each other. This 20eps drama will start filming at once when all the others artists are decided.

This news was flashed very quickly on Mydaily this morning then removed (not sure why? Maybe, it's not supposed to be announced yet?)

The girl in the above photo is Han Ga In, who will supposedly costar with SSH in this drama. HGI starred in Once Upon A Time In High School with KSW and Super Rookie with Eric Moon before. In real life, she's married to Yun Jung Heon, the guy who replaced SSH in Sad Sonata.

By the name "The City Of God", I wonder if this drama will be filmed a portion of it in Rome? Here is a brief about the storyline of "The City Of God" from soompi:

Haha. Looks like we read and posted the same news at the same time.

I heard they will start shooting this drama in January and air on KTV in Mar/07 (probably late march). Drama production in Korea is at much faster pace than compared to China, only 3-4 months to produce and air a 20+ chapter drama vs. 6-12mos to film and air drama of any length in China. For Kdrama, I heard even before they start filming, they'd already obtain permission to air and OST. Unlike in China, not just the filming process is lengthy, but the editing, government permission, and OST recording are also very time consuming.

Yup, Han Ga In is married in Apr/05 to Yun Jung Heon of Sad Sonata.
I've seen her in Super Rookie and she's pretty cute.
And yup, if Han Ga In will be the one to play opposite SSH, no hanky-panky on screen will lead to offscreen romance because she's no longer available.
For those of us who wishes Oppa to remain unattached for a while, I guess that should be a good news. Haha.

The name "City of God" and the brief storyline remind me of the same titled Brazilian movie By Fernando Meirelles starring Matheus Nachtergaele a few years back.
This movie took place in Brazil (not Rome); quite creative but such a full cycle of violence that it portrayed, from young boys' fights on a dirt soccer field and small time robberies aggressed to savage murders, drugs, weapons, revenge, and all-out gang war. So bloody! But amid all this fathomless violence was a beautiful love story between the 2 opposites -- a she angelic and a he sinful.

Maybe Oppa's drama is a descent from this movie? Anyway, sounds like this drama can provide some palpable grounds for Oppa to exercise his wish to star in more mature/action roles. There were many sizzled seashore scenes in Meirelles' original "City of God". Hope Oppa's derivative version will endow plenty of hot beach scenes too. For if all else fail, Oppa can still stop time and create intense "Ooh Aah"s by showing off his Rambo fit physique after 2 years being chiseled in the army that many of us are dying to know.

hey, it seems to me that kdramas of the late try to diverge more and more from the melodrama with disease infected lead girl or guy. this sounds great: oppa to star in a mean, god-father like role. i'm looking forward to see him in such character. i think he'll be very good at it. oppa's face can look pretty mean sometimes.

good to hear that kdrama filming process is fast. i've been waiting for his new works too long already. can't wait much longer ....

here's a clip with our oppa singing the autumn in my heart ost at fan meeting.. he's such a great singer..eventhough it's so dark can hardly see his face but his voice is so beautiful as always... I think he sounded amazing singing this ost, especially he can sing the highest key of this song with no problem at all!! it sure bring back some sad memory of Jun Seo... i wish there's a completed song out there somewhere taped by the fans that i can download.

that's what i thought too, this song he had no trouble at all, and he sang it so beautifully. for some reason, his songs tend to be really hard to sing right like even after ten years and for you...the keys are low and high all of a sudden and they're so hard to sing....well, but i guess it shows how talented oppa is
