I'm surprised that most people don't really hate YYT that much. I personally can't stand him. It's actually not too bad in the book, where the sacrifices LYZ made for him were often told in a distant manner. But they've added A LOT more of their relationship here. So his annoyingness is multiplied.

You know, that part's actually not too bad in the book. I mean, if you've read it, you'd know that Princess Fragrance is absurdly, unrealistically hot in the book.

But the way they have it set up in this series, I'm quite curious as to see how the hell he can justify ditiching HQT. Especially since the actress who plays the smelly princess isn't all that pretty.

Ha! I finally found someone who hates YYT as much as me! He and Chen Jia Luo annoy the heck out of me in the book. Its probably cos I don't like mentally weak men, but going after a married women is not the right thing to do, even if her husband is twice her age.

i raelly don't the ending for YYT and LYZ in the new adaption. It adds to the frustration.

Meh, thank you so much for the great translation. This brought tears to my eyes for hsds was my first JY's book that I read.

haven't been online for awhile and am so surprised and glad to read this.

Would you consider doing zwj's childhood from the time with doctor Hu up to when he practiced 9 yang.

thanks again gratefully.

doesn't 9 yang seem so cheap, allowing CMK to sense someone sneaking up on his back? Sounds like Spiderman's spider sense to me.

Just want to bump this up, as a reminder that the chapters translated here should be put up on the SPCnet translations page, so as to ensure it won't be forgotten

Just a small comment here - wasn't the sixth brother yin the sword expert in Wu Dang and the seventh brother the hand technique of sort? (Refer to chapter 9)

Reading over my translation again, I saw a lot of stuff I can improve on. A few errors and omissions simply because this is the first few chapters of JY work I've tried to translate. But these few chapters are definitely great plot-wise.

I'll certainly revise the whole battle sequence if and when I get there in my translationg.

Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed reading.

Did I mention that Muo ShengGu had the best swordsmanship? If so, it shouldn't have been, because YLT had the best sword skills of the brothers throughout the book.

Or were you asking why Yin LiTing didn't battle Yin TianZheng instead of Muo ShengGu?

Cool

hmm, probably little of both.

Actually, I just wonder that if the 7th brother was mentioned to be excellent in hand (not hard - sorry) technique (from chapter 9), then shouldn't he utilized that instead of sword which was the 6th brother's specialty? Or things just changed by the time wuji grew up?

somehow, I got impression that yin was the best swordsman while others utilized different other weapons.

Meh,
Thanks for your diligence in translating all the chapters in HSDS so far.
I was thinking, since FAQ is translating Chapter 10, would you like to continue with translation of chapter 23 onwards?

Thought I should bump this up.

Now, who's going to translate the fight in Wu Dang where ZWJ learns Tai Chi from ZSF. And the fight at the Shaolin Temple ?

After reading this, I don't think of ZWJ is as much of a niave pansy as I once did. He atleast wanted revenge. What happened to that? In all adaptations, he never even tried, or even seem to think about it, other then to acknowdlge that he recognize them as there for his parent's death.

I think in the first novel version, ZWJ wasn't as kind as he is now.
