Lin Hsinju Does Not want to Get Married, Wants a "Home"

Currently in Shanghai shooting "XGDD," Lin Hsinju's rumors w/ Stanley Tong has been around for five years already. Next year she'll reach 30 and at the "marrying age," although there's no marriage plans in the works, but has an idea of a "home." She says: "[I've] been working for all these years, have been living in the same place since childhood, I want to buy a bigger home b/c firstly I have too many things, and secondly my family can live more comfortably.

Seeing all her friends getting married and having children, unmarried pregnancy is even becoming popular in the entertainment circle, Lin Hsinju says w/ a sigh: "Not too long ago bumped into Vicky Chen, she's got a baby also. I feel more and more lonely now." She points out, her own loneliness is not only referring to love relationship, even when she wants to take advantage of the free time b/w shoots to go on vacation w/ friends, they are either busy spending time w/ their husbands, or busy with the kids. This feeling of loneliness has gotten to a very serious level. I've always placed strong emphasis on travelling. Whenever there's time b/w two shoots, I want to go on a vacation overseas, thoroughly resting, doing nothing, just sleep."

Lin Hsinju says, during the travels, even the smallest of things is very interesting to her. There's this one time, she and a friend went to Guam. She never thought that the moment they entered the hotel, the tourguide wanted to take everybody to tour the island. Lin Hsinju only wanted to sleep, she had an idea - started holding her stomach w/ a pale look on her face: "I...I have a stomachache, can I go lie down in my room?" She managed to get out of touring the island. Just as she wished for, she was able to check into the hotel at any earlier time; she remained at the hotel as a pampered woman, had an afternoon nap, had a facial, had afternoon tea. "Seriously, this was the most unforgettable part of the trip because of the 5 days 4 nights there, it rained on 4 of those days; couldn't even go out, it was quite a bored."

But, Lin Hsinju also found ways to kill time - buying winter clothes at the LV store during the summer sale. "Travelling companions is very important, I just have a few friends from middle school who can accompany me. It's not very easy for a typical person to take a vacation, I do my best to accommodate them, I don't mind flying coach/economy class." All her friends are getting married one after another, Lin Hsinju actually has no plan when it comes to her own love life, looking pensively: "It indeed looks like I have to start looking for different things to do. I have saved up some money all these years, I want to open up a restaurant. Previously I can only cook instant noodles w/ eggs, now I can bake a cake.."

Lin Hsinju and Chen Xiaochun's first cooperation is in the musical TV series "Xing Guang Da Dao." In this scene, it is the first time for Hsinju to be hung by wires in a modern series, but Hsinju is having more fun cooperating w/ Xiaochun. It's just that shooting the scene wearing a thin dress in below zero temperature makes Hsinju screaming cold! Seeing "sweetie" Lin Hsinju again, she is no longer just "beautifully sweet," her whole body is full of femininity. Lin Hsinju says frankly, the transformation after the period from "HZGG" to "BSY," this year altogether she has accepted "PLS," "Sound of Colors," and recently is shooting "Dali Princess" [note: new chinese name is Dali Er Nu Qing], starting next year want to start doing series w/ female points of view, that is the was so-called "chick flicks," like these artistic series "The Orange Grow Red," "Painting Soul," so she doesn't have to be a "jade girl" any longer, can become a "real woman!"

Treat plastic wrap as an enjoyment
On the other side of the telephone it seems that Lin Hsinju is extremely relaxed. Although this time she's a "princess" in scenic Dali, but Lin Hsinju said she's so busy she doesn't have time to look at the scenery, "to an actor, the pressure from acting is one side of it, a lot of times we also have to face difficult filming environments. I treat them all like a type of enjoyment, this is perhaps due to my positive point of view. Because it's already year's end, us wearing these thin costumes, will feel that the weather good is very cold. Everybody is working very hard wrapping themselves in plastice wrap (for warmth); wrapping myself tightly in plastic wrap for 3 to 4 continuous days."

Depend on snacks to get through 18 hour work days
Lin Hsinju told the reporter, in order to be on schedule, filming around the clock is a routine matter, under the oppression of working more than 18 hours a day, want to be in a good mood, she has her own secret method — — eat snacks. She said: "In terms of good food, I like the local snack 'ba ba,' and also that 'kao ru shan' the most." And then spilled the beans about Liu Tao to the reporter: "She's like me, especially loves to eat snacks. On the set, we have all kinds of snacks, we would eat and talk during break time, and talk about snacks. This way your sleepiness and tired feeling would slowly dissipate."

Would only say who "he" is when getting married
During the opening ceremony for "Dali Princess," Lin Hsinju's rumored boyfriend Stanley Tong also appeared in Dali. He said frankly that visiting Lin Hsinju was one of his main purposes in Dali [he never said that], but when questioned about their relationship, he turned around and ran. In regards to Hsinju's first time in Dali, Liu Tao naturally has become her free tourguide. And after the various kinds of food on foreigner street has gotten Lin Hsinju's attraction, the two of them started searching for good food. The staff meals are typical; even if it's delicious, eating it like this everyday, after a few months you'd get sick of it. Today the princesses tell the us, how they resist eating the staff boxed lunch.

The staff boxed lunch: little meat, lots of beans

Lin Hsinju: She took us to foreigner street from the first day, we went to the bar to eat hot pot, roast crab. After that we've been eating the boxed meals, the kind that does not have any meat, there's ground meat, the preserved meat is fatty, mushrooms, different kinds of bean. Also there's Dali cookies. I thought the Dali cookies were delicious. I bought $2, they bought $1 .....

These two princesses when they just arrived to Yunnan along with the production team, they had plans to stroll around on their free time, to enjoy the beautiful Dali sceneries. But they hadn't thought that the shooting of "Dali Princess" turned out to be very intense every single day, this bored the both of them to death. Hence, they could only puts all their limited time and energy into improving their daily meals. Now, eating — — has already become they biggest pleasure.

Eat less of boxed meals, search for good food

To them, the staff meal is definite not enough. Privately, if there's something good to eat certainly cannot forget about your good friend/sister.

Liu Tao: For instance, today I'd say there's a good pizza place, she'd say I know, I know, I want to go too. And then would say I know there's a good hot pot place, really?, let's go next time, something like this. Yeah, because filming in this type of a non-urban place, we can only find some happiness from eating. Because the places we shoot at have beautiful sceneries. We have already gotten used to the life of living here. That is say we want to make up it to us, eat less of boxed meals, right, eat some good food.

Lin Hsinju: (Puerh tea) Before it's soaked it looks very black, but the very good that kind of Puerh tea, if you have eaten very greasy stuff, drinking that would really gets rid of grease. I think it's very good tea. (laughs)

Actually it's not just our princess Hsinju who loves Yunnan's specialty Puerh tea, every production crew that has been in Yunnan would have been overflowing w/ the smell of fragrance from Puerh tea. And to Hsinju, not only can she enjoy Puerh tea herself, but also makes good gifts.

"Princess" gives out scented tea as gifts

Lin Hsinju: I bought a lot of Puerh tea to give to people. Last time when I returned to Hong Kong to film I bought over ten boxes, they were awfully heavy. This tea thing I think makes very good gifts to our elders. If giving it to friends, the tea can help them lose weight, I think it's great. No wonder Hsinju loves Puerh tea this much, as a matter of fact it's biggest effect is it may help in losing weight. Since it is a good thing, the "princesses" would definitely share it together. Every day a pot of Puerh tea, is Liu Tao and Lin Hsinju's necessary drinks on the set.

Lin Hsinju: I tell everybody that Dali is like a fairyland, good place for the gods to live.
Liu Tao: There's also a lot of people who buys Burmese jade in Dali, as long as you don't buy fake ones, actually you can find good bargains.
Lin Hsinju: She (pointing at Liu Tao) knows a bit more, I don't don't.
Liu Tao: Actually it not how good it is (jade), it the thought that counts.
Lin Hsinju: What if they open w/ the prices of $1,000, I don't even know how do negotiate for a bargain.
Liu Tao: Actually as long as you like it's fine.
Lin Hsinju: I think the most important thing is you like it yourself.

After eaten just a little, Liu Tao had to go to another set, leaving Hsinju behind, unavoidably feeling somewhat lonely. Can't help it, quickly look for someone on the set to accompany her. Found out the crew is heading to the little restaurant to eat eat egg fried rice, Hsinju happily goes along.

People gathered together to cook for "princess"

Just finished eating egg fried rice with Liu Tao, Lin Hsinju didn't want to be left alone so she joined in the fun, but never thought that as soon as she arrived at this place her appetite immediately opened up again. Since the "princess" has such a good appetite, everybody naturally did not dare to neglect her. The director and the camerman personally went into the kitchen to cook for the "princess." And the "princess" is not idle at all, got up immediately to supervise.

After a short while, the beloved egg fried rice of the "princess" is done. It's just that the "princess" did even have the chance to go forward, everybody swarmed in, in comparison the director's cooking skill is pretty good. Hsinju also rushed over to join in. It looks like, this egg fried rice is quite attractive to her.

It seems like Liu Tao and Ruby are getting along really well, a new friendship bond? They both love food and have a great appetite. I guess they spend most of their time recommending different cuisines, trying new food and comparing the foods. The Princesses life of food :lol:
