    Default Yin 13

Did he kill himself due to the power of his Sword #15 or did he die under Xie Xiaofengs hands?

From what I can remember, he killed himself because he wanted to rid the world of his sword 15.

He killed himself because he realized the power of Sword #15 was too devastating and overwhelming for anyone to control. Xie XiaoFeng was no match for it (he was only able to counter Sword #14).

Weird. Why would he worry if anyone could control it (unless he planned on having a disciple)? Did he himself knew how to fully control it?

I think in the end, he didn't want to kill Xie XiaoFeng, and killing himself was the only way to prevent that.

I find that a REALLY stupid plot device.

Killing yourself because your kung fu is too good?!??!?

when you get to that stage in martial arts, you're bound to be a little crazy...

look at DGQB from the JY universe, who scoured the world looking for someone to kick his arse. and that's how he spent his life...

and ZBT, who pretended that he had the mental capacity of a little kid...

and OYF, who actually just went crazy...

    the greats are all crazy.

Who ever said he killed himself just because his "kung fu is too good"? That's a rather simplistic way of looking at it, and doesn't fully take into account what actually happened. Like I said, he ultimately didn't want to kill Xie XiaoFeng and discovered that Sword #15's power was beyond his (or anyone else's) control.

Tie KaiCheng: "I still don't understand why he had to destroy himself.".

Xie XiaoFeng: "What he wished to destroy, was not himself, but that Sword.".

Tie KaiCheng: "Although that Sword had arrived at the pinnacle, it's technique invincible, why must he still destroy it!".

Xie XiaoFeng: "Because he suddenly discovered, that Sword only brought extinction and death, he could never allow that type of sword technique to remain in this world, he did not want it's knowledge to spread to villainous members of martial society.".

His expression became reverent and sorrowful: "But this Sword's changing patterns and power, has definitely reached a point beyond his control, like someone who suddenly discovers that the snake he has been raising, has become a poisonous dragon! Although it remains near one's body, it still does not listen to one's directions at all, until finally it cannot even be discarded, and only when this poisonous dragon has devoured it's fill of bone and blood will it be quieted.

Tie KaiCheng's eyes displayed a sense of dread: "Therefore he could only first destroy himself.".

Xie XiaoFeng sullenly said: "Because his own life, flesh, and bone has already become fused into one with this poisonous dragon, because this poisonous dragon is actually his person's essence, so in order to exterminate this dragon, he had to first destroy himself.".

This was a pitiful and fearful occurance, full of eerie and mysterious dread, but also full of a very deep and profound truth.

Although this incident sounds exaggerated, it is still genuine, nobody can deny it's existence.

Now this present legendary swordsman's life has already been extinguished by himself, the invincible sword technique he created also perished at the same time.

Xie XiaoFeng stared at his corpse, and quietly said: "But during that one brief instant, he had carried his sword technique to a height unsurpassed by anyone in history or the future. He can die with no regrets.".

    Cool Comments

    Interesting.
    .
So, which is more powerful? Having a technique that is beyond the power of the user (suicidal move) or the stage XieXiaoFeng wants to attain? [No sword without and within]

I remember in the top 50 of GL, you ranked XieXiaoFeng like in the top 10 and said that the top 10 are about equal with each other. But why Yin 13 is not in there? Could Yin 13 might as well be the top of GL's universe?

He is in there. #9 - Yan ShiSan.

I don't think he should be at the top. He's good, but the competition is tough.
