Heroes Shed No Tears - Just watched it last night. I thought the movie was okay. Gigi Chiu looked really great though only appeared for a short while. I didn't really understand why her character chopped off her leg though. Even if she had been used like a pawn by a wicked fellow? So what just carve him up and not yourself. Alexander Fu didn't really appeal to me as the main lead. Also I found it strange that they didn't mention "Based on a novel by Gu Long" anywhere in the credits.

Web of Death - I didn't really like this movie. You got tell aspects of the plot was taken from the beginning of HSDS, with what happened with Yan So So and Cheung Tu San. I don't think this movie was based on Gu Long's work. I didn't really work for me with the special effects.

No it was the Shaw Brothers, Gu Long movie, directed by Chu Yan. It was pretty good, now that I have watched it a couple of times. But still don't like Alexander Fu as the main lead.

    Just watched:

    1. Clans of Amazons
    2. Duel of the Century

I must say either Gu Long or Chu Yan, keeps finding a thousands of ways to tell the same theme or something, because I've watched 10 of these now, and can see that they're actually very reptative in some way. I mean all of the wuxia stories adapted by Chu Yan from Gu Long's stories....

I don't think that's based on a Gu Long story.
