Default Rival swordsmen of Sai Mun Chui Sheut in LUK SIU FUNG

Sai Mun Chui Sheut was considered the "Sword God" in the LUK SIU FUNG novels, but the stories featured a number of swordsmen (and even a swordswoman) who were said to be comparable to him...able to at least give him a good fight if not outright beat him. Am I missing any besides these?

Lord of White Clouds Castle Yip Goo Sing

Ngor Mei Sect Leader Dook Goo 1 Hok

Mo Dong Sect Elder Wooden Taoist (Lo Do Ba Tze)

Leader of the Red Shoe Association Madame Gung Sheun Lan

The Old Taoist of Mt. Ba

The Mysterious Swordsman of the Holy Mother Peak

some unnamed 9-year old sword prodigy

some unnamed 99-year old sword master

Former Mo Dong Sect elder Sek Hok (Soul Hooking Ambassador of Haunted Valley)

I'm not sure if Gongsun Nan would have been comparable - didn't Ye Gucheng kill her quite easily?

Huo Tianqing would probably be comparable in terms of ability, but I don't think he was a swordsman...

it all comes down to fame in the end. to any martial artist who knew of swordmasters, SMCS would be very impressive because of his technique --- "sat yun but luw yut dik hut", or "kill without spilling a drop of blood". remember, this is a kind of stealth unfathomable even to strong martial artists, except to people like YGS and LSF.

remember, it's hard to be famous in the martial world. LSF honestly wasn't that well known --- rather, it was the two heroes of "the duel" that were known by regular citizens: sai mun chui suet for his mysterious ways, and yip goo sing for his over the top, rockstar style. that's why one was sword god, and the other sword saint.

by the way, wasn't YGS the sword god? and SMCS rather the sword saint?

the others were also great --- great enough to give a decent fight to SMCS, at least. however, they weren't the kind of notorious characters that SMCS and YGS were.
