    HYS.

I'd say H7G, but, he would have been proud even if he had lost.

I limited the poll to Au Yeung Fung and the Golden Wheel Monk because, unlike Wong Yerk See and Hung 7 Gung, the former duo were Gwok Jing's mortal enemies. I'm considering only all-out, life-or-death battles . . . not friendly sparring matches.

I would say OYF, cos when he fought OYF, his martial arts was lower than his opponent.

good answer, toon...in ROCH, GJ wasn't the main character so GWM naturally couldn't be his greatest enemy. tho they clashed many times, GWM was YG's enemy after all.

i have no idea of what anonymous was talking about...perhaps he posted in the wrong thread?

but yes, OYF was definitely his worst enemy. GWM cant really be considered GJ's enemy, because GJ never had to train hard to overcome the guy. GWM just was afraid of GJ and wasn't too interested in fighting him outside of getting the "first protector of mongolia" title...though i would have liked to see the outcome of a 1vs1 battle to the death between the two.

would have been interesting to see how much GJ would have spanked him by...

I suppose if OYF fought with GWM-OYF might win. OYF seems to be stronger. Thus, he is a real enemy for GJ. Regarding GWM, I still think that it is easy for GJ to handle him actually.

But your thread says martial arts opponent, not enemy

I was dancing around the verbiage with that for a while. I had a problem with "enemy" because that would have obligated me to include people like Yeung Hong, Yeun Nan Hung Lit, and Genghis Khan, who though enemies of Gwok Jing, don't really fit in this discussion.

The way I see it, in LOCH, his greatest opponent from the 2 choice would certainly be OYF since JLFW is still in training camp .
However, in ROCH, I can not make up my mind.
You see, both OYF and JLFW fighted GJ before. And after that, they choosed rather not to openly clash with him anymore. Both of these villains are apparently talented and great fighters, but they saw something in GJ that make them avoid more 1 on 1 fight with him. So in ROCH, GJ does not really have a contest.
Overall, OFY is more an enemy than JLFW.

You could have said "Which of GJ's enemies posed a greater threat in a fair fight?"

I was just thinking the same thing. GLGS is YG's and XLN's mortal enemy.

But do those "enemies" always fight fairly?

OYF, he is the real fighter. On the other hand, Golden Wheel Monk is just a low, dirty, and shameless villain.

The main reason I really hate Golden Wheel Monk is he always think highly of himself and considered himself the best fighter in wulin. On the other hand, he doesn't have the gut to challenge Kwok Jing in a fair 1-to-1 death match. He always into low and dirty tatic against Kwok Jing to a point of using a weak girl to force Kwok Jing to surrender.
