It seems a lot of celebrities do have association with these groups of people although some are proven other disclaim it.

Do you think Entertainment business (for example in Asia) is tied with Mob, Triads, etc...

Well, we have Stephen Chow's who's rumored to come from a triad.

Then we have Anne Heung, whose brother is in a triad, which started the rumor that she got her Miss HK title because of those connections.

I wouldn't say that she's the head of a triad, but I'm sure she has connections with the bigwigs of the triad. (like most veteran artistes)

yeah, really scary. i guess we'd better be careful when criticizing actors/actresses. it only shows that show business is really quite 'dark' *shudders*

The thing about HK, many actors and to a lesser extent, business leaders, have links to the triads but are not really active members as such.

What this means is that an actor from TVB may have a 'triad membership card' but does not get involved in everyday triad activities such as extortion, illegal gambling etc.
