I don't think Roger can speak "good" english. He probably can speak english, but not very good-ly.

As far as what I've seen and heard, Michelle Yip, Flora Chan, Melissa Ng, Jessica Hsuan, Francis Ng, Daniel Chan, Edison Chan, Vanness Wu, Cecilia Cheung, Nicholas Tse, Margaret Chung, and Sammi Cheng's English are great.

Sometimes when there is a need to speak English in the series it's ok to hear it, but then it starts to get onto my nerve when in the modern series, the producer tries to put in a word or two in the sentence which does not actually necessary. I find that more annoying. It's perfectly alright in chinese but they use an English word instead.

Talk about poor English, I am not critisizing Ada, I like her too, but I just re-watched HH1 recently, when in the ER room she said "kie" instead "Clear" can't really pronounce the 'L'. It's hillarious esp, she needs to repeat a few times whenever she do the heart pumping thing.

lol..some of them cant even pronounce 'relax' properly. they tend to pronounce it as 'reless' or something. SIGH.

Generally most asians that dont have english as one of their first language they cant pronounce words with 'r'. Notice how they somehow turn it into a 'l' instead. Fried rice becomes flied lice or something along the lines (Sorry if that looked a bit disturbing) I think this is due to the chinese language which doesnt have the r tone in it which makes it difficult for them to use their tongue to make the r sound. Most international students speak like that. Its not their fault I guess, but it sounds kinda funny. Thats just my two cents anyway.

I can't stand it when the characters are supposed to be superb at English but when they actually speak it, it's slow and things like "three" sounds like "fee." Makes me wanna laugh and cringe at the same time =\\

i think some hk ppl like to speak english in a cute way like when i saw Burning Flame 2, Yoyo Mung was pronouncing the word ''size'' as ''size si'', but that was kinda cute

This is because the ppl have studied overseas (such as Oz[asutralia], US and Uk) but i disagree with what you say about Francis. He's terrible.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks Francis Ng's English was bad, he's not the only one, i've noticed lots of TVB actor's english isnt very good. I don't think it's essential that they know fluent english but if their charactor requires them to speak english i think they should at least try to pronounce it rite hehe!

Yes, totally agree with hkgirl129. Francis's English is horrible. I think Joe Ma is not too far behind. TITS really exposes their bad English.

yeah can't really understand why of all their actors they used actors with bad english to act as pilots. i have nothing against francis or joe, i think they are good actors, but seriously, their english is really bad. they could have used actors who's a little good in english.

I enjoyed their english. I mean of course they were horrible and very hard to understand but I found it quite amusing. It turn like a serious moment to be quite funny.
