not at all...Shawn Yue was 10 times better, and he isn't even that good
if it wasn't for the plot, I woulda stopped watching Edison's horrible acting and cringing whenever he came on

i don't think he's that bad. sure he looks blank in some scenes, but i think he only needs some improvement. afterall, in a star studded cast like that in infernal affairs, you can easily see the weaker actors

Edison was just an eye candy for IA1. In IA 2, I thought there wasn't much he could do to bring out that charactor while Shawn had better charactor to work witih.

I still remember Shawn though... and don't remember much about Edison except for the scene where Carina got run over by the car. So Eddie got to brush up on his acting a bit.

I read in one article that he complain about no one helping him (i think this point was also brought up).

But one have to realize why no one help him or what cost this beat up. The article also quote from him saying that "there were two guys who ask him if he was Edison Chen (his chinese name). he said yes and keep on walking. I guess he shouldn't be cocky. Maybe say yes and something nice just because they are guys they could still be your fans.

Some fans think that he was busy but he wasn't he was just hanging out.

Another thing he said was no one came to his rescue and there were people watching. Well because maybe you have an image that you were tough. I remember if anyone follow wrestling, there was this wrestler called Shawn Micheal, the heart break kid. He got beat up because his charactor in WWE was a tough guy. Well basically he got beat up and had to spend a year in hospital. Now I wonder how many people challege Jackie Chan or Jet li to fight... because their image on the screen is a tough guy.

That is about all the things i got from the article and they guys that beat him up got arrested by cops.

He has some nice songs, but I have to admit the guy can't really sing well. As bad as F4 in a way. I haven't seen much of his shows so I can't really judge.

I didn't really care much about his beating (because I don't care much for him too) but one thing which brings me to attention was that nobody bothered to help him. Kind of sad, but those people are 'protecting' themselves in a way. If it's a triad scuffle, who wants to get involved? XD!

Edison's chase for the kids later is sorta amusing, taken that he said he didn't fight back.

society is also kinda sexist I think in general....imagine if it was a young fragile girl getting beat up....I'm sure someone would go and help her, but if it's just some guy who looks and dresses like a punk...well...they're more inclined to believe that it's a triad scuffle and just leave it @ that. It's not right, but hey, everyone has their biases, and even though we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, ppl do anywayz

I mean yeah. All we know is that Edison looks punkish, giving out this tough exterior and all. We don't know him personally though.

well yes and no, Have you seen a cat fight happening before?

Not many people jump into those because

1) most guys like to watch this (because there is a hint that cloths would be ripped

2) most people think cat fight wouldn't cost that much damage with the myth thinking girls don't hit hard.

For me, I would step in if my girl (AKA girl friend, sister, mom, grannie, coz, friend) was in a fight with another girl. Which would probably lead to me getting a couple of scratch and maybe a confrontation with their boy friends.
