Although this is definitely not Shu Chang. Or is it??

Here's a really beautiful pic of Liu Tao!

    And some more of her.

Of course it is a remake... Basically, a remake is just a series that is being adapted again that is based on a famous story/novel... Sigh.. No wonder some of my friends have lost interest in watching series since they get so redundant...

I think this is more of a sequel instead. Trinie, you did watch Cao Jun's version right? What happened at the end? I watch partial of it then gave up.

Oh, so this may be a sequel?? Hm... What more is there to the story?? Actually, I didn't see Cao Jun's version since I got sick of the same story. I already saw the 80s version and Jimmy's version already so I pretty much know the story. In the 80s version, at the end Hua Shan Sheng Mu came back to heaven and left CHen Xiang and his father behind in the mortal world. I suddenly forgot what happened in Jimmy's version to Hua Shen Sheng Mu and her lover, but Chen Xiang got to be with his lover... I am guessing Cao Jun's version is somewhere along those lines, so what is more to the story???I guess they are trying to get creative by writing their own story about what happened after that...

That's what I want to know too, what more is there to the story? I suppose they are making their own story.

Here's pic of the leading actor/actress.

Zhou Yang Shi as Yang Chan (I don't recall if this character was mention in Lotus Lamp, so it must be a sequel.)

Vincent Jiao as Er Lang Shen (again)

Default Liu Tao in 'Li Hou Zhu'

Recently watched Li Hou Zhu and Zhao Kuang Yin, where she played E Huang, and she was caught in a love triangle between the two kings. Loved Liu Tao's costumes in this show, so pretty!
but I just don't get why E Huang would always think about Zhao Kuang Yin when she had such as a hot and gorgeous husband by her side?
I love Liu Tao's performance in Li Hou Zhu yu Zhao Kuang Yin! I admit, I didn't really like her when I saw the MV in YouTube. But when I saw her acting with Nicky Wu (love him, love him!), they wowed me. And I agree, Nicky-Liu Tao chemistry here is amazing. Much better than Li Yu - Jia Min or Er Huang - Zhao (though Huang Wen Hao played Zhao excellently!).

Oh, and here's my review on Li Hou Zhu.

Would love to see Nicky and Liu Tao pairing up again, a happy ending this time!

Is that really necessary? So she's gonna be a housewife? What a waste of talent...

I think she married some rich business dude though, probably one of those 'traditional' rich families that don't like their daughter-in-laws to be 'in public'.

What's with the trend of sudden marriages? Anyway, it'll be a pity if Liu Tao really retires for good since she's such a lovely actress with so much potential, and just when she her career was really picking up as well..

Anyhow, some pics from her wedding, she was a beautiful bride:

This actually looks like a scene from a movie:

I remember she announced her engagement to some guy a year or two back. The guy she was engaged to was a 47-year-old musician (he should be 49 or 50 by now) and a Harvard grad, not sure whether its the same guy she actually married since her husband doesn't really look like anything close to 50.

    With her hubby:

She announced her marriage and status as "Mrs. Wang" back in October 2007 in her blog: http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_475bb14401000cq1.html

Anyway, congrats to her and hopefully she won't leave the entertainment industry for good.

He doesn't look 50..he doesn't even look that much older than her...so I doubt it's the same person. Or maybe he has some special anti-aging formula that the rest of us don't know about hahaha...They look pretty compatible though, cute couple.

I hate her gloves...don't really match the dress. The tiera is really pretty though, and she does look stunning

So it was a press wedding? I thought most of them opted for a quiet wedding...

What?????? She's married? WTH!?!?!?!! When did this happen?
She looks beautiful in her wedding gown.
And damn! That guy is not so great looking, and he's short.
But I bet he's hella rich! Look at all those cars!

You know..Liu Tao ain't poor either =P She makes her own dough too. I would say she's at least list-B for drama..she is starting to get leading roles or at least substantial supporting roles.

But yeah, I bet the dude is loaded, which is why I remember somewhere reading he did business. But maybe I'm mistaken.
