    Default Jiu Yin Zhen Jing

Don't know if this has been done before, but if you're bored and want to test your translation skills...

    http://www.flymood.com/bbs/Announce/...&ID=107148&E=0

It's the entire passage of 九阴真经 (jiu yin zhen jing) as it appears in JY's novels. I've only managed to translate the first 10 words as, 'The path of Heaven, has excess of harm and cannot be mended...' (WTF this crap makes no sense...)

Yeah...I'm totally gonna mull over this profound martial arts. Watch out for me at the Olympics in 20 years time...

Hmm...that jiuyin baigu zhao looks interesting...

I heard that in china there have been actual cases of people getting seriously injured after practicing methods to acquire superpowers that they read in wuxia novels

You mean castration doesn't give you supernatural martial arts?

    LOL at extremer88!!

I've always wondered if the stuff from wuxia serials made any sense. Like, in the series the person would read the thing out loud and then start doing like techniques and stuff. Then you're like, how the heck did he get those movements from those words?!

basically from what i know, there's no pictures in terms of dealing with internal cultivation or internal kungfu like jiuyang chenzhing. as the example of the so-called "jiuyinzhenjing" from the given website showed that they`ve practised based on the text.

this text normally in a "poem-like" and it's up to the practitioner itself to understand the terms and meaning. they have to rely on their knowledge on taoism/zen and body meridian in order to succeed.

and for physical skills-kungfu, it`ll based on pictures but only 1-2 pictures and it's up to the practitioner to figure it all the move.....

just my opinion. so has anyone tried "jiuyinzhenjing" ?

based on my interpretation of the first 10 words of "jiuyinzhenjing"..

According to heaven's way, the excess reduced and the less is added. By then, the despair will eliminate the ....

became an eunuch?... some says that when male castrate himself, the yang energy will be released and only yin energy will be able to fully used to achieve the only martial arts and if i`m not mistaken that normally this martial arts only applicable to female, and that`s why male has to castrate first in order to learn that particular arts. maybe KFBD is meant for females...

They could turn into greats, but would they understand what the 9Yin is talking about in a short time?

    AHHAHA

I wouldnt try it if I where you. Jin Yong is a good author, but not a martial arts expert, as he himself would readily admit. You can gain good insights into chinese martial arts philosophy through reading Jin Yong though; IMO his knowledge in this area is quite high.

Whatever you do, just dont practice Kuihua Baodian!
havent come up with a good one yet..

yeah agreed on that... but should at least try the "first stage" to see how it goes..hehehhe..

KFBD is indeed "no way to be tried"-

and one more thing, i`ve checked the HSDS 1st edition from zhaomin.org that there's a note pertaining to JIU YING & JIU YANG that specificaly it was mention that JIU YING is only meant for female while JIU YANG is only for male.

has anyone found an article of how to learn "jiuyangzhenjing"??? just kidding.

brief summary of the so=called training manuals of jiu yin zhen jing from the given website,

    1) the first note mostly explained blah-blah
    2) then the training on internal part consist of 4
    - 1st. part - creating the jiu yin internal energy
    - 2.d part - practising in a cold area
    - 3rd part - practising in a hot area (what i noted is u practised inside a big basin heated wz fire)
    - 4th part - practising somewhere at a wet area/river/sea?
    - 4th part - collecting universal energy to complete this internal method.

now based on the training given, who would want to give a try?

I have the Bei Ming Shen Gong manual that Duan Yu got in that cave, under the statue. Lots of interesting pictures, to say the least.

Imagine if someone switched it with the 'kama sutra manual' in indian/hindu. The guy would think he got 'ju si' kungfu, just by looking at the pictures but get his *** kicked when he goes and challenge one of the greats.

Well unless that was the one WXB practised.... hmm
