Well at least they are not like Jin Yong's characters always found some super martial arts and become so super. It doesn't make sense to me.

Sorry to necro this thread, but which book of the Seven Weapons is "Quan Tou"? I have seven books, and none of them are named "Quan Tou" or "Fists". Is it "Qi Sha Shou", or "Seven Killing Hands"?

I also went to the bookshop today and saw this series "Jian Ke Xing" or "Journey of the Swordsman" - is it any good?

It should be the 7th book in the series, however its inclusion is debatable. Apparently it was included in 7 Weapons but was later removed by Gu Long. The novel also goes by the name 《愤怒的小马》. Its protagonist Ma Zhen appeared in 《霸王枪》 as well.

I checked the chapter named compared to my book seven - Seven Killing Hands, and they don't tally. It's like they're two different books.
My set, in numerical order, are:
    Longetivity Sword
    Peacock Fan
    Crimson Jade Sabre
    Conqueror Spear
um.. lots of love Rings? :P
    Separation Hook
    Seven Killing Hands

So Gu Long took it out and replaced it with Seven Killing Hands then?

I personally have not read the 7 Weapons series, but the Chinese sites seem to give the order as thus:

    《长生剑》- Longevity Sword
    《孔雀翎》- Peacock Fan
    《碧玉刀》- Jasper Sabre
    《多情环》- Sentimental Rings
    《霸王枪》- Conqueror Spear
    《离别钩》- Separation Hooks
    《七杀手》- Seven Assassins

《拳头》(Fists) was apparently more appropriate as a spinoff of sorts of 《霸王枪》. Originally it seemed it was included as the sixth book (some sites say seventh), but Gu Long removed its inclusion from the 7 Weapons series. 《七杀手》 was not originally meant to be part of the 7 Weapons series, as it was written and published before even the first of the 7 Weapons stories. It was upon later reissues/republication that it was subsumed under the 7 Weapons series.
