Naturally. Jolie Minh isn't a literal *clone* of Joey Meng, but a character inspired by the actress.

Jolie can only look as good as the artists who render her can make her. That's her limitation.

The one advantage that Jolie has over Joey, though, is that Jolie doesn't age in realtime. Jolie only becomes as old as I choose to make her (and in the span of the story, we see her between the ages of 16 and 22).

As Jolie's creator, I imagine her as looking more or less identical to Joey...minus a few inches of height.

Indeed. Jolie is based on Joey's early 1990s look, when Joey was younger and had a little baby fat herself. Frankly, I think Joey looked healthier and sexier in her younger days when she had a little more meat on her. In the 2000s, she's joined the whole "anorexic" trend which has just made her look bony and older.

Anorexic women do not turn me on at all.

I think it depends alot on the pose. If Joey were to take a photo similar to the illustration of Jolie, the results would not likely be very different.

Sadly, no. That 1991 magazine cover is the closest I have to anything like that. This was the artist's interpretation based on my verbal description to him.
