backdraft was a cool movie.

I thought Burning Flame was based on the comic/anime

bf1's theme is absolutely cool..i love it. It's got the "omph" in it!

And the ending was not like bf2 which is cool cuz me likes happy endings after a long series. Lee San San was very unconvincing as a Japanese girl (correct me if i'm wrong but I think that's what she's supposed to be)..but she's still ok.

The sad scenes were sad! esp Wong Hei's mum's death. God, I cried my eyes out!

The chemistry between Esther and Wong Hei is gr8! I reckon that it's better than Maggie and Wong Hei.

lee san san really annoyed me with all her constant bowing and 'what does she say most of the time? the jap word for sorry?' they exaggerated the japanese!

Ya big time... but could it be Lee San San's over acting or the script told her to do that?

man I've watched this a long, long time ago. It still has remained as my favorite series of all time. Wong Hei's acting was superb. Like someone said up there, it had a combination of humor, claw gripping moments, romance, action and everything else that kept my eyes on the screen. I loved every part of it, though I think Lee San san should have done a bit better.

I remember crying so bad when I saw wong hei crying for his mother, jade leung's death and si to but's death at the end. I just sort of wish to see more of something bad happening to si to but's ex-wife.

Anywho, does anyone know where i can get more information or clips from A Matter of Custom?

i am in the minority here but aside from whenever wong he was on onscreen, i was not so enamored with bf1 compared to bf2. the louis koo storyline was unoriginal with rich family-adopted son-inheritence plot. more so with the typical big bad tv guy with no redeeming value in koo's big brother complete with over the top chase scenes, gun fights, triads and revenge.

i liked bf2 for its realism, unexpexted ending and the endearing pairing of wong he and his tv daughter among other things. although maggie cheung wasn't as good as esther and instrumental song did not match part 1.

I like both Burning Flames.... they probably had to make a sequel that wasnt a continuation of the first because Esther left TVB

Or they just wanted to start a new story because the first one already ended in a good ending (although kinda sad) Who knows? but i liked both of them anyways

I guess if you compare BF 2 to BF 1 then it wasn't that great but as a stand alond entertainment value for BF 2 is not that bad.

I enjoy it but if I have to choose I would have to choose BF 1 just because the charactor in it was more developed and I actually care for them after watching the series more then BF 2.
