I have to disagree here. Looks were definitely NOT a factor to Zhang WuJi. Heck, he even considered (and almost did) marrying Zhu Yin (the distorted face one) because she had been helpful to him during his time of need. Besides, Zhao Ming, Zhou ZhiRuo, and Xiao Zhao were all very very pretty in different ways. Zhao Ming was compared to a rose, Zhou ZhiRuo was compared to an orchid, etc.

The one with whom looks matter the most in that group is, gasp, Yang Guo. It might not be the most important thing to him, but it certainly was a factor to him (as opposed to Guo Jing, Xiao Feng, or Zhang WuJi, for whom looks never entered their mind). Everytime Yang Guo meets a girl, he wonders about her looks and then decides that Xiao Long Nu was still the prettiest. Much like how Duan Yu sizes girls up all the time as well. But unlike Duan Yu, Yang Guo already had the prettiest girl, so he didn't have to go through what Duan Yu did. Had Yang Guo not had Xiao Long Nu to begin with, who knows what he would have done?

I don't think the reason behind the comparisons was to reassure himself that he has the prettiest girl possible, but rather, under the circumstances, he tries to constantly remind himself of XLN after the seperation.

I don't really felt bad for ZL, since I never thought she was truly in love with DY. But MWQ's story sucked.

Personally, I would say the more the merrier. But if I loved WYY as much as DY did(and there's NO chance of that happening in my real life), I'd just stop with one.

Yes DY is a good lover in a way, but I also hate him in another way too. The way how he always follow WYY around. He knows that she likes her cousin yet he still follows her aournd crazy and tries to talk to her and stuff. I can still remember how her cousin's reaction. Even though her cousin was a bast@rd, how would you feel if someone is chasing around your gf. On a level, DY is quite rude to WYY's cousin.

WYY wasn't a faithful love neither. In the 97 adaption, she just fell in love with DY when her cousin dump her. She was crying very badly in one second with her cousin and the next thing when he dumps her, she jumps down the well and falls for Dy? Too hasty. And normally, she was quite cold towards Dy too.

I actually wanted him to go with Zhong Ling or even Mu yuan Qing. At least Zhong Ling would be nice to him.
