Change Login ID

Is it possible to change the login ID without creating a new ID?

The answer is members don't have that ability to in their profile. But, if you really, really (and I mean really) want to change your screenname, then you can forward that request to me to make the change.

it's too bad we're not as all powerful as spcnet. anyways, i don't want to change mines, it's just interesting how ppl are all talking about changing their names.

I know that this other forum I used to visit had the ability to let the members change their names, but once they did, their original name would be shown underneath it.

For example, my user name now is CrazyLilAngel. If I wanted to change to my real name, it would be displayed like this:

Tina, then underneath it in tiny font, it'd say CrazyLilAngel.

The webmistress and webmaster built the forum theirselves though, from scratch (it's wonderful; they're talented!), so I don't know how it's achieved.

I think changing your name is fine and dandy but there is also a good justification not be able to change your name.

Because most of us have a reputation of the screen name we have now.

You see Spcnet and you know she is the almighty powerful ruler of board.

You see Yon and you realize she is the grannie that has been on the board since the beginning of time.

You see God of Honor and you realize he is respected because his posting have always been fair and rational.

You see Mike Liu and you realize he is a funny guy who is sometimes lost with his thought... but have no intention of hurting anyone.

and so on. (not sure what people think about when they see my name) but anyways

I was thinking about changing my screen name because i accidently use my first and last name... which could lead to people stalking you online (which I dont' recommend girls to do) and do something stupid to you. But so far nothing like that happen yet that I cannot handle. I think other then Mikey and me, we are the only 2 on this board that use real our full name as our screen names

Well good on ya James and Mike for having the guts to use your real name (or could it be the lack of comprehension for the inital registration instructions?)

Or perhaps you guys just aren't inventive enough to think of screen names?? hehehe j/k. Anyway, who am I to speak? I couldn't think of a screen name either, so it was taken from my email address.
