Fan Bingbing had finished her MV for Flying Bird, the title song of her first album in Qing Dao. The music video is directed by famous Taiwanese director Lin Jing He, and costarring with her is the popular HK model Wu Jia Long. Fan Bingbing was quoted saying that the MV is possibly the
shortest movie she had done, and it is tragically beautiful like a Korean soap opera.

Fan Bingbing plays a girl who grown up near the water and owns a hostel on the seashore in the video. Wu Jia Long plays a character who checked into the hostel with his girlfriend 5 yrs ago, and the couple promised to each other that they will return 5 yrs later, Fan Bingbing's character
fell in love with Wu back then and is patiently waiting for him to show up again 5 yrs later. 5 yrs later, Wu Jia Long shows up as he promised and is waiting for his girlfriend, Fan Bingbing knew his girlfriend is not going to show up and for the sake of her hidden love for him, she makes up a goodwill lie and accompanies him as he waits for the girl who will never come.

Wu Jia Long was chosen by Fan Bingbing personally to costar in the MV, although her good friends like Lu Yi and Ren Quan had expressed their will to costar in the MV of her first album, Fan Bingbing however wanted a face unfamiliar with most of Mainland viewers. Fan Bingbing had worked with Wu Jia Long in a commercial early on, therefore she picked Jia Long to star in her MV.

Fan Bingbing worked hard for this MV. In order to shoot the video with the best light on the sea, Fan Bingbing and her crew had to wake up early each morning and started to work at 6am. There was a scene in which both of them were soaking wet because Wu was drunk in the water, and Fan
Bingbing had to pull him to the upper ground. The scene was shot at dusk, and the weather in Qing Dao had already turned cold, but the two were very professional, worked again and again in the water. The director and the crew were feeling the pain for Fan Bingbing, and were eager to call done for the sake of her health, but Fan Bingbing insisted on continuing the work to ensure perfection. The crew members were moved by her work ethics.

Being a professional actor, Fan Bingbing revealed the character of a best actress while making the MV. A scene in the MV requires Fan Bingbing to express the pain of her love, so the director asked her to stare in the air while eating a tomato; however, when the camera started to roll, and Fan Bingbing started to bite on the tomato, her tear came down drop by drop, affecting the crew on the set and made a member cried with her as well. When the camera stopped rolling, the director was eager to compliment her performance, and the crew were amazed by the acting of the best actress.

Three languages were used while making the MV on the set, Mandarin, English and Cantonese. Because the male lead, Wu Jia Long is a Chinese and British interracial, and only knows Cantonese and English, words had to be translated for him by the crew on the set. The director worried about language barrier at the initial of the production, but Wu Jia Long quickly grasped the situation, and with Best Actress Fan Bingbing leading him, the good performance was quick to come. After the video was done, Wu Jia Long said good-bye to the crew and the two promised each other that they will work again in the future.


Flying Bird, the title song of Fan Bingbing's first album has started playing on the stations, and the MV has gone into post-production and will soon meet the audience.
