BingBing, it's unfortunate that someone so cute would be stuck with such an awkward name. I'm curious as to how they translate names, because her name sure sounds a lot better in Vietnamese than in English.

I just ordered the Chinese version from local CD store today...because I can't wait anymore...he-he...
but I will still buy again when HK version release.
I'm sure the record company will release her album in HK version.
because last time I got Chen Hao CD in HK version, and Bing Bing more famous than her.

really? You think so? I always laugh when i try to pronounce her name in Vietnamese, pham bang bang, haha, sounded so weird! Well, maybe i didn't say it right cause i'm a Chinese, but still, the pronunciation of "bang bang" is so comical, haha!

Bingbing's name was given by her grandmom who seems to hold a lot of power within the family, her parents also turned to the grandmom to name Bingbing's baby brother when he was born a few yrs ago! It was a trend to name a girl cute name back then, that's why there is fan bingbing, li bingbing, gao yuanyuan, jiang qingqing and so on, but cute names have an expiration date, can you imagine calling out loud "fan bingbing" or "gao yuanyuan" in the air and an old lady shows up, haha, what a scene! I have 2 friends who have this kind of cute name, the girl is named shi yueyue and the guy is guo yanyan, hehe, it's definitely not cute when i have to call the guy yanyan when i see him everytime!
