it is now confirmed that this movie is invited to be shown at the Berlin Film Festival, director Li Yu will appear with bingbing, Tony and Tong Da Wei at the permiere in Belin, Germany on Feb. 15. Liu, ping guo, an average chinese migrant seeking better life in Beijing. "Ping Guo" is about class, value and sexuality. Ping Guo, a character played by bingbing like million of villagers leaving their home towns for a better life in china's big cities, she works at a pedicure shop doing foot massage, her husband plays by tong da wei is a window cleaner, like any other financially struggling newly weds, they too often argue over money issues. the story gets interesting when ping guo has an affair with her boss, a newly minted rich man from the south and her husband eventually decided to blackmail the boss when they finds out she's pregnant with the boss's baby ... this is a movie of dark humor, and it's very real, showing the world how the struggling migrants live their uneasy lives in big rich cities, this is a movie about commoners, it's a movie about substance, not fleashy costume, not pretentious dialogue!
