Sadly, I haven't have the fortune to watch Linked Cities yet. NEED to get my hands on those, or else I couldn't sleep. From the way you guys described the show, sounds like a great great classic to me.

Yeah, I sort of agree with 0-0-0. SC had been in a few major series, but her role hadn't been substantial, however, her acting is soooo good, she's instantly distinguishable and noticeable. I wonder how anyone would miss her in a series.

She looks very refine in XiaoZhuang as Wan-ru in male disguise when she's out for the opera.

yes, even in the series where she had a very small part, i thought her performance was just a standout. I loved her in Xiao Zhang Mi Shi and even in TLBB/DGSD as Tian Shan Tong Lao, she stole the limelight from Xu Zhu.

I haven't been able to get Linked Cities from my local DVD store yet. I guess I just need to cool down, and try not to think about it for the time being.

Yap, I totally agree! I really like TSTL, esp the scenes where she can look evil. SC has such a kind face, it's hard to imagine she can come up with facial expressions like that. I thought A-Zi was the best in the show, but giving that TSTL only appeared in a few episodes and had such a limited role, it was a total blew-off from my standpoint of view. Somehow, SC managed to portray herself as very very old and knowlegeable elder as TSTL.

Oh about LYF, I like her and she does look beautiful to me, but I still prefer SC because I love SC's spirit as a person. What I like about her now is also the fact that she's not very big yet, which makes her more special. If she's very famous, shows are more likely to capitalize on her fame, rather than focusing on her acting.

LYF looks very pretty in ancient series, but in Story of a Noble Family, her demeanor doesn't make her stand out in that show.

I agree with you that LFY looked bad in Story of a Noble Family but that is due to her hair and costume which was so stupid. LFY usually look good in modern clothes.

Anyway back to Shu Chang I think that she looks good in both Modern and Ancient attire. She looked really pretty in Bao Lian Deng and Jian Rai Tian Hai two series that I watched with her in it.

Shu Chang is indeed very pretty. Too bad she doesn't have a rich family to buy her way up in the entertainment business like some actresses.
hope that she will get more versatile roles or main casts in the future.
