But I don't think the girl is Shu Chang, because I just came across some article which said the girl acting as Little Wanjun, in Xue Ke etc is called Jin Ming. And she's in Beijing Academy now.

Anyway, back to Shu Chang again. I agree that's she's the most beautiful/talented/lovely/cute actress out there. The more I think about this girl, the more she steals my heart away. Gosh, I love her performance in Bao Lian Deng. Suffering withdrawal syndrome right now. I think anyone who's a die-hard Shu Chang fan should watch the show. It has good storyline, romantic love story, and Shu Chang's dubbing is good as well.

Lee Hyori is the few asian girls with curves, butt and boobs. Not just SC, i don't think LYF comes close to having a body i would drool over:

I think LYF's figure is rather feminine, just that her frame is still a bit small now. I happen to like actresses who're not that hot/sexy, so LYF's nice.

I think Shu Chang's figure is really cute. In Bao Lian Deng, when she discovered Ding Xiang has a female body like her, her actions are so cute. And she's very proportionate.

I don't see how people don't think she isn't going to succeed. She may not have the support but she does have both the talent and looks. Nobody is complimenting on her beauty which is pretty overwhleming. SOme people say she doesn't have that leading actress look, what exaclty is A LEADING ACTREESS LOOK if she doesn't have it what makes other actresses have it. Sometimes I don't understand un-supported judgments.

Hmm, i do think she has a leading actress look, but because she's in the supporting cast most of the time, she looks as a supporting actress should, so she wouldn't outshine the leading lady. But look at all her supporting roles, once she comes on screen, she's immediately noticeable, but instead of stealing the limelight away, she complements her acting partners and emanates a light of her own, lighting up the whole show.

Anyway, if there's any reason she doesn't look like the leading actress, that's because she doesn't have any ego to look like one. But her qualities are so special, her acting is so gifted, she'd outshine anyone if she wants to.

And the most surprising thing is she has NEVER been to acting school.

yea, but it's so sad... i want to see more of her, but i know that everywhere i go i'll just keep staring at LYF's face. I don't know, i'm not a guy, so eye candy's not that appealing to me anyway... Shu Chang is a better actress to me, and because i don't spend my time gawking at the girls, although i did a little in ROCH, i prefer a good actress.

I want YM in the part of Zhao Min... but i don't want LYF in the part of ZZR. She's not really that suitable. YM on the other hand, seems made for the part of ZM... i will seriously die if ZJZ decides to use LYF for Zhao Min....

I highly doubt Shu Chang will get a good role in HSDS... i'm going to hope that she gets good roles in other serials... i want to see her in DOMD at least. She looks very much like the Shuang Er i imagined. Although i figure that since Shuang Er has more screen time, Yang Mi will probably get that part. I have nothing against YM, in fact, i like her a lot, but i'd rather see her in HSDS than DOMD. For me, i prefer DOMD to be the one with 7 wives that are played by beautiful, yet not very well known actresses like Jiang Xin, Yang Rui and Shu Chang

Personally, I think ZZR is a great role, but I'd like her to be Zhao Min since she gets the guy at last and ZM is my favourite in Kitty Lai (Li Meixian) and Tony Leong's version of HSDS. A good love story with a good ending is always a good idea. I think whoever acts as Xiao Zhao will become very popular too, but that's not what we're just after. Xiaozhao is very likeable and mysterious, but does not require much versatility.

Anyway, I think ZJZ should have casted her more after her role as TSTL. So glad he remembers how great she is and cast her as Jian Ning now.

true... SC's acting skills will probably make up for everything. I think she can handle both the role of ZM and the role of ZZR. ZM is more likable though, and she is the main character, so obviously that'd be a great role for her

to the director/producer(zjz) & millions of fans, they'll want ym to be zm than sc. ym in most people's eyes looks better than sc by a mile. talented or not, it's all about marketing/advertisement. ym will make more money for the production than sc. why? because she looks better.

Hey crazylife, I just came from the ZJZ's HSDS thread. Hmm, I think YM will do an OK ZM, but don't think she'd be great because she doesn't feel versatile enough. ZM is witty, scheming, 'evil', yet vulnerable, innocent and lovely at the same time. Such many qualities would be performed better by a versatile actress than just a usual good actress. I actually thought TSTL was acted by a 30-40 yr old veteran managing to look young. That's why I took the good acting for granted. But after someone pointed out her age and some other roles, I was so stunned. Kept me thinking for a long time how she managed to pull off every role and bring out their essence.

She's like a miracle stamped in my heart and I'm just so glad she exist.

At least for me, I know she is, just like what LYF meant to you. And I appreciate that she exist and is somewhere out there on this earth, living in my era.

I think ZJZ will probably notice how good she is after Jian Ning Princess. Though it's not a role like Shuang-er, there's a lot of potential to be unleashed in that character. As I mentioned, in the internet poll, she got the highest votes and raised many eyebrows, I'm sure ZJZ will notice her more. And even more so, after his past actresses/actors leave him for other directors.

I think for TSTL, they purposely make her look ugly, that's why she's not that memorable to many people, though noticeable to DSDG audiences. It's only for 3 episodes, she's young and doesn't look like a fairy like LYF, therefore ZJZ didn't consider her for future roles until now. She's 18 this year and looks more mature.

To me, ZJZ is like James Cameron/Peter Jackson of the East, so I'm crossing my fingers and hopes he's not blind and senses SC's unlimited potential.

Oh yeah, Lee Hyori is a Korean singer/actress. She was an okay actress(only did one series though). Lee Hyori is talented in the singing department as well. With her looks, she could sell just about any albums/concerts.

Yeah I agree with you that looks come before talent. It doesn't take long to see a person is good-looking, but it does take time to notice talent.

The problem with SC is that while she has the looks they are not really striking enough, despite the obvious talent. So she gets enough attention to be asked to be supporting rather than main female leads. There are many supporting actresses who have great talents able to play many types of character roles and who are obviously much more talented and skilled than those main actresses they are supporting. i doubt it. Shu Chang is amongst the most beautiful actress list in China. I don't see Yang Mi anywhere near there at the moment. YM is nowhere near as famous as Shu Chang
