i agree...she's a good actress. However, she just doesn't have the leading role look. That's the only problem. She's not ugly...not at all...but it's just that she doesn't have the leading role looks. If she was to star in the next HSDS, she will not get the role of ZM or ZZR. No matter how people dislike or envy YM/LYF, you put them in a series, they'll make more money for you than the other actresses. That's the reason why producers/directors chose them.

yea, but it's so sad... i want to see more of her, but i know that everywhere i go i'll just keep staring at LYF's face. I don't know, i'm not a guy, so eye candy's not that appealing to me anyway... Shu Chang is a better actress to me, and because i don't spend my time gawking at the girls, although i did a little in ROCH, i prefer a good actress.

I want YM in the part of Zhao Min... but i don't want LYF in the part of ZZR. She's not really that suitable. YM on the other hand, seems made for the part of ZM... i will seriously die if ZJZ decides to use LYF for Zhao Min....

I highly doubt Shu Chang will get a good role in HSDS... i'm going to hope that she gets good roles in other serials... i want to see her in DOMD at least. She looks very much like the Shuang Er i imagined. Although i figure that since Shuang Er has more screen time, Yang Mi will probably get that part. I have nothing against YM, in fact, i like her a lot, but i'd rather see her in HSDS than DOMD. For me, i prefer DOMD to be the one with 7 wives that are played by beautiful, yet not very well known actresses like Jiang Xin, Yang Rui and Shu Chang

Most likely, YM will be Shuang'er in DOMD and ZM in HSDS. LYF will probably be ZZR. Both ladies might team up since they're good friends off screen. It'll be like another GYY and Alyssa thing where LYF and YM will be together in series. LOL

I dont know about that. ZZR and XLN's roles are so similar. People LYF could never do the part of XLN...well...we know the result...and I think ZZR is very similar to XLN. ZM would be a difficult task for LYF but YM will get the part.

nah, i always thought that LYF had at least the looks for XLN, even if she didn't have the acting at that point

Basically, Ariel's acting is ok, but doesn't have the look. Similarly, LYF's look is really not appropriate for ZZR at all. She's too innocent and sweet looking to be ZZR

yea, you're right godslayer... but seriously, i think Shu Chang would do a great job in most parts... she's not getting them though.... sighs

i'm not going to worry about Ariel as HR anymore becuase i really don't plan to watch it anyway

current hopes: Shu Chang as Shuang Er in DOMD... but even that doesn't appear to be happening. Supposedly Yang Mi is getting that role

Yea, Shu Chang doesn't get any of the opportunities that she deserves... It seems like everyone else is getting all of the parts in DOMD and other series while she isn't. I hope that she can at least get a part in the HSDS remake then. I won't be watching another remake of LOCH since I am SICK of remakes...

I think she was but never saw that series so I can't tell. However I see pics of her in a modern series where she is sort of wearing modern clothes so that might be it.

Agreed with you that she isn't in the same league as the pretty LYF but still is stunning to a certain degree. Hey if I can have someone like her as a wife I would come rushing over for her hand in marriage.

And beauty's is to the beholder and I think that both LFY and Shu Chang are pretty and that is why they are #1 and #2 on my list
