Default Who was the fastest of them all?

I can't remember whether this topic has already been posted before. Anyway, in terms of lightness gongfu, who was the fastest of them all?

    The contestants:
    1. DY
    2. The Fourth Evil from DGSD
    3. QQR
    4. XLN
    5. The Green Bat King
    6. DFBB

Feel free to add to the list of contestants, and pick one whom you think was the fastest.

First up, DFBB is fast, but that is combat speed, but if you presume that relates to lightness kungfu as well, the following are my subjective view on speed:-

    1) DY - there's simply no arguement.
    2) XLN - she's so fast that the opponents don't even know what moves she used
    3) DFBB - fast enough to make any weakness in stances irrelevant
    4) QQR
    5) The fourth evil
    6) Green Bat king
    7) Tian Ba Gong

    4 to 6 is debatable, i guess.

I personally think that DY's lightness kungfu should be the best of them all. Then follow by QQR and XLN.

Rabadi, do you limit to JY's novel? If not, I think Chor Liu Heung should take into account.

Well, I'm not too familiar with GL's characters. But feel free to add them.

My interpretation of the novel is that I would rank Xu Zhu at least as fast in straight line speed as DY.

And MRB,XYS and XF seem pretty fast in straight line speed as well. Might put Green Bat King to shame.

Of course fastest of all should be Mr Nameless Monk who seems to hog all the charts.

Yes, XZ is as fast as, if not faster than DY esp. at the end of the novel. But it is mainly the effect of his relatively higher inner energy per se rather than superiority in lightness kungfu; ala ZWJ being faster than the Green Bat King in HSDS.

The rest of CC's examples all have superior inner energy. Their lightness kungfu wasn't praised much, if at all.

Is the question on best lightness kung fu (in terms of techniques) or fastest?

    what about Dugu Qiu Bai?
Not running is better than running
Burying his Dugu 9 Jian manual under an epitaph, Dugu Qiubai felt he has left his legacy for the next generation. He then moved to Shaolin to study Buddhism, sweep floors and tap elite fighters.

Hmm... I would think of the fastest lightness gongfu, so not in terms of how complicated the technique is. Oh, and that means the fastest runner

Well, thing is that the fastest gongfu does not translate into the fastest runner. e.g. Green Bat King slower then ZWJ due to big difference in inner power. And XF comparable to early book DY with his LBWB.

infact, LXF has 1 stance of lightness kungfu which surpass CLX... "Ti Yun Zhong"

however if they are to race, CLX will win certainly...

Is LBWB considered a lightness gongfu?

Did DY's feet ever leave the ground (I mean both feet, not one feet at a time like walking) when he is doing LBWB?

To overcome running without running? Might as well use that Star Trek thing

Hmm... I didn't know it would be like that. Okay, let's simplify the question then: regardless of their lightness gongfu, who was the fastest runner of them all?

    1) DY
    2) XZ
    3) XF and fighters on par with him
    4) ... o why bother

And special mention goes to the Carefree sect elders.
