i don't really get it, i can't seem to get into it as much as other one's, but have to admit it's one of the best out there so far and i've seen a few. but what really gets me is the fact they have so many good ideas and so they cut stuff make it short, like the 3rd brother getting bitten by the snake they really could have made it harder for them to cure him, and the big Brother with the neddle thing he got cured sooo easily geez they really could have made it more anxious and suspensful and keep the viewers guessing but still interesting story hope the sequel don't flop as most sequels do!

I agree with you dafatman on some of the things you stated. It would have indeed been better if there was a little more suspense and mystery in the serie. Everything just solved a little too quickly.

nhi123, the ending is sorta a open one. It'll continue on more with that on the sequel. Anyways check out the Paradise thread at tvseriesfans to get the theme and ending songs. Yu Bo sung both of them

Hey I just finished Paradise on VCDs, yup I bought the whole set. I was kind of disappointed with the ending though, well, in actual fact, there is no ending at all. The show just ends with Tong Bo flying upwards. But I was ecstatic to hear that there is a sequel to the show!!! Cheers!!!!

I saw the screen shots for the sequel, cal Ling Jing Chuan Qi. Meaning the legend of the mythical mirror or sth, okay my translation is not up to standard. Anyway, I am from Singapore, I wonder if anybody has seen the sequel VCDs here. Or it hasn't come out yet??

Anyway, I was very pleased to see the sequel screen shots. The costumes were cooler, the hair was better, esp Tong Bo. Hey I couldn't stand the curly mop of fake hair in the first show. Which is why I like Tong Zhan better, hahahahaha. Glad to see that they have rebonding in the past, Tong Bo's hair took a turn for the better. I think many people will agree that he look absolutely more gorgeous in straight fake hair than curly fake hair right?? And dont you Singaporeans and Malaysians out there think that Tong bo aka as Yu Bo is a dead ringer for Christopher Lee Ming Shun?? Hahaha, but Yu Bo is a much better looking dude than our condor hero though.

Hi beansprouts!!! hehe, glad that you brought this thread up again!!! I am still very much int he mood to chit chat about it. Anyways I am with you. This is also probably my favorite ancient serie so far

Oh diffinately!!! I really don't like Yu Bo with that curly hair....looks really icky if you ask me. The striaght hair is so much better for him!!!! I was very glad to see that he has striaght hair in the sequel.

I think that some of the new costumes are very pretty, but some of them dont really catch my eye. I like Ada's green one a lot!! Not too for the one Monica has. Nor for Yang Jun Pi's. (Tong Zhan) He looks quite older with his outfit in here!!!

Anyways are you saying that Yu Bo sorta looks like Christopher Lee? Maybe at some angles, but overall no, hehe. They are both very cute if that works

I am not all that sure, but I do think that it has been released in chinese. Must check on that.

hehe, I am very very in the mood to talk about shui yue dong tian too. I just finished watching the show like 3 days ago and I am in the state of having severe withdrawal symtoms of shui yue dong tian. Happens to me everytime I finish watching a great show!

Anyway, my favourite character in the show has to be Tong Zhan, he may not be as good looking as Tong bo... but to each her own. I kind of think that Yi Tian Xue looks more like his older sister, hee... and Ada choi is so freaking skinny that everytime she runs, i can feel her bones rattle and i am the illusion that she is going to break into bits and pieces. haha

Oh, I'm sorry about that!!! I actually haven't looked through many of the links lately or very clearly so didn't know of the spoilers!! Hope you didn't get spoiled too much though!!!

Hehehe, same here!! After a serie that I really like ends, I feel the need to watch more of it. Worse is when there is a sequel, but its not released out yet!!! Its been almost a month since I've finished...think I'm going to die without the sequel soon!!!

Really??? Hehe, my favorite character is also Tong Zhan!!! At other forums I go to, seems like everyone perfers Tong Bo and the talk is all about him and Ada. I really like Tong Zhan though. Like you said, he isn't as good looking as Yu Bo, but his character is cute and he did well in the role.

Yeah, at first I dind't like the idea of Monica and him pairing since she does look a bit older then him. However after a while don't you think that they look cute together? I realy enjoyed their relationship. So sad though

I agree. I think Yu Bo and Ada had too much in their relationship making it a bit of a bore, but I did find several scenes between them touching. Another thing with their relationship is its too repetative....

Hehe, Monica and Yang Jun Yi's relationship is so cute!!! Ah yes, that "forced" kiss. Felt so sad when she slapped him and then told him that she was going to be his sister in law!!! Poor Tong Zhan!!!

I love all Monica and Yang Jun Yi's scenes together!!! They are all so very touching and sweet!! One of my favorites would be when Tong Zhan went to tell Yu Bo something, but he wasn't there so Tong Zhan started leaving. Monica turned to look as he leaves and runs after to hug him!! The things they say to one another!!!

Another scene would be when Tong Zhan was "trapped" in the fire while trying to save Ada's sister. Monica's reaction to it all showed how much she cared for him!!! How she was yelling his name constantly and was like tempted to run in to save him!!! Hehe, enough scenes now. Will mention more later

Are you serious? She is dating Tong Xian? I thought she was dating this actor who was a double in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon!! Hmmm...if she is dating Zhang Jin though, they really are a mismatch!! She looks more like his older sister!! Eh, must find news on this!!! hehe.

Oh my, suddenly i feel like rewatching Shui Yue Dong Tian all over again!!! I am seriously getting more and more excited about the sequel... hopes to see it in stores soon.

Yup I find Yu bo and ada choi's scence are kind of repetitive too, and they almost always talk about the same thing. Esp towards the end of the show where Tong Bo is going to have a showdown with Yi Zhong, the diretor injected too many love scenes when they should have focus more on the fight between tong bo and yi zhong.

Haha, I love all of Tong Zhan scenes too, he is so rash and irrational, but that is what i like about him!! The part where he and ada choi thought they have done it already was especially amusing!! And the part where the two of them thought that Monica was pregnant and was so upset about it!!

Hmm, I was really sad towards the end though, where Monica was push into the volcano, I thought she had died!! I felt even sadder when Tong Zhan look so sad when he told Tong Bo that Monica had went missing, that they search the whole of Shui Yue Dong Tian but still could not find her.

Well, I felt sad until I found out that there was a sequel to the show!!! Cheers!!! All is not lost between Tong Zhan and Monica, although I have heard that their story gets even more tragic in the sequel. I can't wait to see the show!!!!!

And yup Ada Choi is dating Zhang Jin (Tong Xin), they were caught holding hands in China and having dinner together in HK. And by the way, Zhang Jin IS the actor who was a double in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. U think Ada Choi look like his older sister?? She should because she really is older, haha

I know!!! I think I will re-watch this serie since I still have it available Haven't returned it yet, but I'm missing tapes 19 and 20 Gosh, gotta ask my aunt about this since I lent it to her!!

Yeah I know. I didn't like how Yu Bo and Ada's relationship sorta jumped above everything else. Like to me it seemed like that was the most "important" thing in the serie At times I felt their relationship happen too fast. Like at first it didn't even look like he liked her, but then suddenly he does. The rest of their relationship did make more sense, but it was still a bit annoying to watch.

Lol, exactly!!! His rash temper and action makes his character!! that is diffinately one of the "qualities" I liked most about him. Oh gosh, that scene was hilarious!!! Espically like how he found otu he hadn't done anything since that pill had expired and that old guy was all yelling at him!!! LOL

Oh another scene I liked would be when Sik Xiao Long dies and Tong Zhan runs to yell at Tong Xin. He was like yelling and hitting Tong Xin and then Norman stands up and says for him to stop. LOL, Tong Zhan just turned onto him and yelled for him to stay out of his business!!! This actually would be my favorite scene for Tong Zhan since he really stood up to the dumb guy and all. Showed a lot about his character!!!

When Tong Zhan told Yu Bo that Monica went missing, I was also quite sad. But I couldn't help but laugh at Tong Xin when he told Yu Bo that he had even crawled into this one whole to look for her. I just had to laugh at the way he told Yu Bo

I know. I'm soooo excited to see more between Monica and Yang Jun Yi!!! I don't like the sound of all this tragic going on betweent hem!! I read the summery to the serie and yet I'm still confused at the ending. Its a good thing though since I want to find otu for myself, hehe. At least hopefully I won't be tempted to spoil myself!!

Hey, I am currently rewatching the series, hmm, technically my sister is watching so I am watching with her. Hahaha, she is getting seriously addicted to the show too!! Can't wait for the sequel!!!

Tong Zhan showed more character towards the later part of the show, I think in the front part of the show, he is sorta in the shadow of Tong Bo. Which is a pity, cos i like him better, hahaha.

Hey, I was really tempted to read the summary of the second show, but decided against it, wanna watch it on my own and anticipate the ending, no fun knowing the ending, it would totally take out the joy in watching the show.

The first time I saw Tong Zhan was hurt in the fire right, i thought he had died !!! The horror the horror Good thing he didn't, or else i would be so sad that i will discontinue watching the series.

I still find that the pairing of Ada Choi and Zhang Jin really weird, hmm, i think its bacause Zhang Jin portrays a dim wit person (Tong Xin) in the show. So everytime i think of him and ada choi together, it totally cracks me up. Yup, as long as they are happy together.... who are we to say anything eh??

Lol, this serie really is addicting!! I could go on and on and on to talk about and even continuously watch it!!! Mostly for the Tong Zhan and Tian Xue moments though, hehe

I know what you mean. In the beginning. Yu Bo seemed to be the lead and have a lot of the screen time, but later on it all sorta even out. At least Tong Zhan got more screen time and his love story was very touching!!!

My sister finished watching the show yesterday. She was totally irritated with the ending, she almost fell off her seat when the ending song begin to play right after Tong Bo fly upwards to search for Tian Xue. I can understand how she felt though, there were still so many things left unexplained!!

I am trying, trying very hard not to look at the synopsis and screen caps of the second show, cause i think it will give too many things away. It would seriously take out the joy in watching!!

I notice something yesterday when I rewatched the last few episodes. Tong Zhan miraculously change clothes after he got injured by the falling beams on fire when they were on their way back to Shui Yue Dong Tian. Haha, that was pretty funny, how on earth did he have time to change clothes??

Anyway, I will continue with my search for the second show. Hmm, too bad I can't order online, sigh, will just have to wait (im)patiently for my VCD show to stock up.
