Default Gwok Jing's official relationship with the Cheun Jen Sect

Gwok Jing first came into the influence of the Cheun Jen Sect when Ma Yuk gave him some tips and pointers on martial arts in Mongolia. Ma Yuk never taught him enough, however, to officially be considered Gwok Jing's teacher. The same applied to the remaining Cheun Jen 6 Disciples. Although Gwok Jing became very close to Yau Chui Gei, Wong Chui 1, and several others, they never officially accepted him as a student. The one time Yau Chui Gei nearly made Gwok Jing his student, the ceremony was aborted when Gwok Jing ran away with Wong Yung.

In ROCH, however, Gwok Jing often refers to Ma Yuk, Yau Chui Gei, Wong Chui 1, etc., as his "teachers" . . . and refers to Wan Tze Ping and Chiu Tze Ging (who are of the same generation as Gwok Jing) as his apprentice brothers. Was or wasn't Gwok Jing an official disciple of the Cheun Jen Sect? If he became official, how and when did it happen?

Are you sure he called them as "teachers" instead of "masters"? 'Cause "masters" may be more general, as in "elders".

I don't think GJ was ever officially excepted to QZ sect.

I think so, too. Unless it is stated in the second or third edition of the novel, then I wouldn't know.
