Yeah.... I thought he was just reminiscing about his days as a student but then he ends with "these years are like those days". Maybe he's saying that acting is like playing when he was younger???

Thanks for translating xia0yuer! lol, if it wasn't difficult I wouldn't have asked haha... and I knew you could do it better than me

What Wallace posted was quite meaningful and somewhat bittersweet, but his last sentence was a little off lol... I do wonder what it was that he meant...

    Anyway, some cute pics~

Haha to all the poofy cheek pictures above. I make that poofy cheek face, too, when I think nobody's looking, so I guess I shouldn't be laughing at Wallace. Thanks for the cute pics, genna!

Here's a well-made Ni Shui Han MV. Ah, Wallace looks so suave in here.

    http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/tyZfFDivlmQ/

Has everyone seen this MV before? It has Wallace Chung, Andy Lau, Raymond Lam, Brigitte Lin, Song Jia, Julian Cheung. All I can say after watching this is, "Wow."

Another awesome MV from Ni Shui Han. This one is brand new.

I actually thought Wallace look way better now than when he was younger. He looks more manly now than he ever did in his twenties. I never really watch his series but I just finished watching Too Late to Say I Love You and I must say Wallace was extremely hot in there. Once thing I find interesting in Chinese dramas are the recycling of chinese actors. There are over a billion of Chinese in China and they can't find more beautiful women or men or diverse group to play in the series. Every time I see a series it's the same actors over and over again.

Not sure if this has been posted, but according to ockoala, Wallace is going to play the hot and sexy assertive male lead in the drama adaptation of Tong Hua's Secret Hidden in Time. I'm super excited and since this is a Tong Hua novel, it might get subbed much faster than his previous shows and he will get more love on different english drama blogs.

I know! I seriously have a Micky He and Yuan Shan Shan allergy right now from Yumama casting them in nearly EVERY ONE of his dramas... Production companies just want to capitalize on whoever is hot at the moment. (HG, LSS, YM)

Ah, you beat me to it! I'm super excited too and even though Janine Chang isn't exactly gorgeous, at least she looks younger than Wallace!!!! Hooray!

Does anyone have a summary of the novel? Since his character is confident and assertive, just the way I like my Wallace. Think Murong Feng/A'Ci/A'Chu. *sighs dreamily*

OMG I was only gone for a day and there's this awesome news out! Ah I'm so excited for this! It's been forever since Wallace last starred in a modern drama! I'm not particularly fond of Janie Chang or Jia Nai Liang, but I can live with this, and Janie is definitely pretty!

I just started reading 'Secrets Hidden in Time' (on chapter 4), so far it's not that interesting, but I guess it's a little too early to judge. Plus, Tong Hua's novels normally start out slowly. I think Wallace will make a wonderful Lu Li Cheng though, he definitely won't have any problems handling the role! And just thinking about his hotness makes me even more excited for this drama!

Ahhhh! What is it about? Summary please! I'm too lazy to read it right now. I flipped through a couple of chapters but TLTSILY seems more interesting.

I hope Wallace gets many nicely tailored three piece suits for this drama. Like Hawick's suits in SWAK except Wallace will look much better, because he is taller and more handsome in general. *drool*

The person who made it casted Wallace as Song Xiang, Sun Li as Su Man, and Song Jia as Ma La Tang though. Still, lovely MV for drooling over Wallace. <3333

Woohooo! This is such good news that Wallace will be in this Tong Hua novel adaptation. I haven't seen him in a modern drama since Midnight Sun, and his female lead wasn't very pretty in there. Plus, his ending sucked in that drama. I hope he'll end up with a happier ending this time. Who's Janine Chang? Is she the same actress who starred with LSS and Yuan Hong in that weaving drama? If yes, then at least she looks younger than Wallace and is relatively attractive compared to his more recent costars. (Although, she was a total bore in the weaving drama and only so-so of an actress. But I think it's too much to expect youth, beauty, and leading lady quality all rolled into one actress, so I think I'll settle for youth. )

I know xia0yuer already asked this, but any idea what the plot is about? What is Wallace's character going to be like? I keep hearing assertive and confident...which I like. Throw him into a power executive suit and I'm ready to start drooling.

Agree about Wallace Chung looking hotter than Hawick Lau in tailored 3 piece suits! Not because I'm hopelessly biased in Wallace's favor, but it's the truth.

I think I'm just in a lousy mood today, so I'm being especially critical. I think Song Jia looks so much more beautiful and livelier than Sun Li. Song Jia looks vibrant, stunning, and mischievous, whereas Sun Li has that boring, lifeless look about her. I think it's all in the smile and the eyes... Song Jia's eyes are so lively and beautiful, and her smile is infectious. On the other hand, Sun Li's eyes are rather lifeless; they sort of remind me of the eyes of the actress playing Mai Zi in No Choice. Something tells me Ma La Tang is going to be a more fun character than the female lead in the book.

So here is what Moonblossom posted on Koala's playground:

Su Man/Amanda/Freya is a left on the shelf girl, living in Beijing. By chance, she found that her first love is back working in Beijing, so she quit her job to stalk him by working at his company. The circumstance in which she found this out was quite funny she was supposed to go on a matchmaking date which she intentionally sabotage, not realizing until too late that the guy she was set to give a bad impression was her dream guy since collage. Throw in her good friend, a shrewish Ma La Tang, and her scary boss Lu Li Cheng, what happens next is a typical TH tale spinning 2 charismatic men and 2 women caught in between.
Sorry for not being clear. Su Man is the female lead aka Amanda/Freya. She liked Song Yi aka Alex since young and followed him to the same school. Having missed her chance to get to know him (university & matchmaking date) she decided to give her all to pursue her happiness so as not to have further regrets. Lu Li Cheng aka Elliot, sort of stumbled into her path during her pursuit, and is the male lead. Both Song Yi and Lu Li Cheng are fighting for the top post in MG the financial company which all worked in.
Song Yi is a little like Ling Ge Ge & Jiu Ye mixed into 1 elite, talented, scarred. Lu Li Cheng reminded me of Meng Jue determined, willy, and (dont laugh) with eyes that . I think TH used similar descriptions about his eyes as Meng Jue anyway, I love him to bits and I think most people will too. Actually I thought Wallace look very much like the LLC in my mind.

I actually really like Meng Jue in Yun Zhong Ge, theres just something hot about his possessiveness of Yun Ge, his wiliness, his suaveness. If LLC is anything like MJ, I'm a happy camper.

Agree about Wallace Chung looking hotter than Hawick Lau in tailored 3 piece suits! Not because I'm hopelessly biased in Wallace's favor, but it's the truth.
It has to be a nicely tailored suit though. In Shang Hai Wang, his suit was all loose and baggy, which I didn't like at all. Though I loved A'Chu's suits, even the purple one! If anyone can pull that off, it's Wallace.

Yeah, Sun Li didn't look that great in the MV but I thought she looked gorgeous in the stills of Zhen Huan Zhuan, though she was wearing a lot more makeup in that drama. And I think Ma La Tang will be very interesting too, I mean, she IS called 'spicy soup'.

No, it's not from the drama, but I just thought he looked so good in this picture haha... it would have been perfect if his hair was just a little longer though xD

    ----------
I have a research paper that I need to write, so I dont have time to read right now but, from the few chapters that I have read I think were all going to like Lu Li Cheng. He is definitely calm and assertive. From the interaction hes had with Su Man so far, I find him to be super attractive and witty ^^ You cant help but blush in his presence, so I especially feel for Su Man, who happened to embarrass herself on their first encounter (she had to beg to sit at his table in the coffee shop so she could ogle at Song Yi across the street, then she didnt have money to pay for her coffee because she forgot her wallet, so he paid, and then she decided to ask him to lend her money so she could get a ride back to her office) . lol

As for Song Yi, he doesnt seem that interesting so far, and I actually dont really like Su Man either. She seems a little too desperate for my taste. I mean, I really cant relate with her crushing on a guy for so many years (dreaming about him all the time, even though they dont really know each other) and then when she finally sees him again she goes all out to pursue him (which meant quitting her job so she could work in the same company as he does). Its too much imo.

When Su Man is around Lu Li Cheng, she seems more like herself. With Song Yi, she tries really hard to be perfect, which I can understand. But, I still prefer reading about her and Lu Li Cheng nope not bias at all

*sigh* okay, I am going back to finishing that paper now

xia0yuer, Ill read and comment on the chapters you translated as soon as I find the time! TLTSILY is definitely more interesting than Secrets!

Oh and another clip from Wallace's concert:
    http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzc4NTkxMzI4.html

You can't really see anything lol, but he does sound good.

I'm so happy Wallace is going to be in Secrets. Regardless of if it's a happy or sad story, TH's novels are very memorable stories. So look forward to this.

Secrets is like one of the last Tong Hua books I haven't read. I'd really read it if I could, but no one has made an audiobook for it and I can't read.

From Koala's post, it seems like it's not a Tangren Production. I'd say it wouldn't be a Yu Zheng one either since Koala said it's 3 production company working on 3 of Tong Hua's drama adaptions. Really want to know who is making Secrets.

Janine, I loved her inside Sunny Happiness. She's a pretty comfortable actress to watch. I'm actually also waiting on her 1/2 of a Fairytale.

The production company is the same one that made Too Late to Say I Love You and Sealed with a Kiss, Zhejiang Film. I would seriously pull my hair out if Yumama had this one. He's batshit crazy with his casting and screenwriting. I wouldn't mind if Tangren had this one but then, Wallace probably wouldn't have been cast as LLC and they don't really seem to do modern dramas.

I'm half and half about Zhejiang Films has it because even though I thought most of the costumes and scenery for TLTSILY were very nice, I wasn't too thrilled with LXR's styling. And Hawick's MSQ styling was also great, but Ying'er's TX was just horrendous. Hopefully they hire a good costume designer for the female leads, though it will be difficult to mess up Ma La Tang because the actress is so gorgeous. I'm sure she'll look amazing even in a burlap sack.

Janine, I loved her inside Sunny Happiness. She's a pretty comfortable actress to watch. I'm actually also waiting on her 1/2 of a Fairytale.
I've only seen her in Black and White (which I only watched the first 10 EP of) and she seemed kind of dull. Her character wasn't that exciting compared to Ivy Chen, who seriously owns my heart and soul. I also tried watching the first few episodes of Tian Ya Zhi Nu, but it was so boring that I wished I got those four hours of my life back. I don't have that great of an impression of her but at least she is YOUNG. I'm tired of seeing Wallace paired with women that look like his older sister or aunt.

I made a thread for this drama, here: http://www.spcnet.tv/forums/showthre...%26%2312299%3B

And genna, no worries, your paper is most important right now! I wish I had your work ethic, I'm just a terrible procrastinator.

This Lu Li Cheng character sounds deliciously manly. I can totally see Wallace in that role! Maybe he could pair up with Spicy Soup instead.

I don't see alot of Wallace series but I do say Wallace has very dark magnetic gaze reminding me of Yuan Hong. As a matter of fact, it is Wallace best feature, his gaze can be very sensual and I think that makes him very attractive. I can't say I don't like any of his costars since TLTSILY is the only series with Wallace in it. I noticed many of you guys wanted younger and more beautiful costars for him. I personally like experienced over age because my biggest pet peeve is watching actors that can't act and taking up the screen. As beautiful and young as Li Shi Shi is I find her mediocre at best as an actress. Her acting is wooden and facial expressions are bland so if they ever make a series together I doubt I will watch it. I never say I wouldn't give an actor a chance without at least watching a few of their series. I watch several of her series and not once am I impressed with her acting. But like any people out there, of course, I want my cake and eat it too so if the actors are young, beautiful AND can act I'll enjoy it even more.

christinatran - Have you watched Wallace's Yi Chu Ji Fa/Imminent Crisis yet? I think you'll love it! Wallace plays identical twins in that drama, and everywhere you turn, there's Wallace looking hot and handsome.

This thread has been so deserted recently, that I had to go hunting for some Wallace cuteness to brighten up the place.

I know, I have been busy too. That's why I haven't been updating my translation as much. But I'm going to try to keep up my previous pace of a chapter a day until finals.

Yay! I can't wait until more Wallace/SCN hotness! And I don't know what comments you are talking about...
