I was saddened to learn that Fan Zhi Qi, the actor who played the show's main villain Zhang Chi, passed away last year at the age of only 53. He'll always be the best Jiang Wei ever, and a consummate professional. RIP.

Hahahaha! This is hilarious! I thought Murong Feng's reaction is the funniest! Thanks! Cunqian, have you seen Pu Ti Shu Xia yet? I finished the series already. I thought the series was only okay. Wallace didn't get as much screen time as I had hoped for a leading male character. Plus, I didn't like Zhang Yi Muo and her character. Because she kept appearing in almost all the scenes with Wallace, it ruined the series for me.

I've finished the series now. It's really good and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet and likes good espionage dramas. There was hardly a dull moment and the acting was excellent all around (not too surprising given the main cast).

It also never hurts when the theme songs are so catchy and fitting!

It sounds like Pu Ti Shu Xia isn't really worth watching? Fifty-three episodes is no small feat to endure if the show's a drag. Hopefully Bie Wu Xuan Ze will be more interesting. I'm also looking forward to Yi Chu Ji Fa, another Wallace espionage drama!

Actually, the entire plot of Nei Xian eluded me, since most of the series revolved around espionage. It would probably take too long for you to explain everything to clueless me, so only volunteer whatever information you have time to write down. I greatly appreciate whatever information you give me.

Pu Ti Shu Xia is all right, if you don't mind weepy, angst-ridden dramas, with a long suffering, stoic heroine who doesn't stand up for herself and just keeps taking punch after punch without saying a single word. Wallace Chung's character is actually pretty likable, but he is just plain unlucky and keeps getting framed or beaten up. I don't like the drama because of (1) Wallace's shockingly minimal screen time compared to the other actors, (2) the character of Nong Pu Er, the third wheel or "other woman" who keeps popping up in the Wallace scenes and ruining my enjoyment of what little Wallace scenes there are, and (3) the extremely draggy length of the series. However, I watched the series anyway, because I was hungering badly for Wallace, and while Pu Ti Shu Xia was not the creme of the crop, it at least satisfied my Wallace hunger.

I think No Choice and Yi Chu Ji Fa will be much more exciting series, judging from the trailers. I wonder if they're out yet!



I'm also looking forward to Tian Ya Ming Yue Dao. Here's another trailer of Tian Ya Ming Yue Dao, this one slightly different in the middle compared to the previous trailer I posted. It shows more Ming Yue Xin clips. It also brings up Cui Nong, Fu Hong Xue's old love. Interestingly, Zhou Ting refers to Ming Yue Xin as her long lost "sister," and she says that she can lose her Big Brother Fu Hong Xue, but she cannot lose her Big Sister Ming Yue Xin. I guess sisterly love is more important here than romantic love. Plus, Ming Yue Xin and Fu Hong Xue's romance looks really tragic.

Hey! Here's a telephone interview with Wallace Chung in Cantonese! For those who don't understand Cantonese, I can give a brief summary of the interview. Remember, even though my understanding of Cantonese is much better than Mandarin, neither of these languages are my native tongue, so I may make some mistakes when translating.

During the interview, Wallace talked about how he started off as a TVB background dancer. After half a year as a dancer, TVB offered him the chance to become an actor. Initially, as a novice, he kept making mistakes while filming and kept getting yelled at by the director. He said he was quite disappointed in himself and vowed to do better with each subsequent series. He also talked about taking on the role of a mentally challenged character while under TVB's employ. Seldom casted as a leading male character, he later was relegated to hosting K-100 shows with TVB. Once his 2 year contract with TVB was up, he moved to Taiwan. He talked about how homesick he was, especially during the holidays. Even when he called home, his mother would not always be home to answer his calls, and he would be so disappointed. (Awwww! Poor Wallace! ) The most touching part of the interview was when Wallace admitted how much he missed his mother's nagging when he moved far away and she was no longer around to nag at him.
