I can't confirm if this is true on the top of my head.
    it's true
i have the vhs to vcd capture of the series and it is indeed missing that part at the end. He personally hands over the Holy Fire Tablet over to Yeung Sui and then has a chat with his Uncle. I'll re-watch that part tonight and give you guys a more clearer description.

I don't remember that as being missing on the DVD, but there might be something to these DVDs not truly being uncut. For example, last night, I noticed a few missing seconds from ROCH '83 Episode # 12. During this episode, there is a scene wherein Wan Tze Ping and Little Dragon Girl have a chance encounter near the Ancient Tomb compound (this is some time after he had raped her). In the VHS edition, Little Dragon Girl asks Wan if his finger injury has since healed (Wan had cut off his own pinky finger to demonstrate that he was serious about his vow to keep Yeung Gor and Little Dragon Girl's au naturel practicing of Jade Maiden Manual a secret). At that point, Fok Do shows up to harass Little Dragon Girl. On the DVD, they cut out Little Dragon Girl's inquiry about Wan's injury. It was nothing important, and no more than five seconds of footage was cut, but as a matter of principle, it still sucks. "Uncut" should mean just that - uncut. Not even a few seconds should be lost; the DVD should reflect precisely what was broadcast on television all those years ago, with not even a single frame omitted.

I remember seeing it there b4, but not sure if they still have it. MX2 is closing down at the end of this month. I had lunch with the boss today. It's sad to see it go. I've been a loyal customer there for many years.

Every time I see this thread bumped, I hold out the vain hope that TVBI has *finally* announced the release of the original BUND, complete and uncut, on DVD in the near future.

    But nooooooo....

When it does happen, guys, we're going to do it with huge fanfare: fireworks, parades, a 21-gun cannon salute, fighter jet fly-bys. It'll be like the Super Bowl, the World Series, a Beatles invasion, and winning World War II all rolled into one.

I swear Ah Fook is running the show at TVBI these days.

For once, I approve of the rolling eyes smiley.

How do you know what are the new releases? I personally want to watch the whole State Of Divinity 96 but I can't find it online. So I've finally decided to buy it. Please message me if they decide to release it.

BTW Ken did you watch State Of Divinity 96? I heard that the Chow Yun Fat version is really bad.

Wargods is usually our source here. He lets us know what will be released way b4 they are released. I check Yesasia the odd time to see. Keep checking this thread to see if SOD96 will be released.

Sure will. I rather watch it in good quality than now because I'm only a bit over 1/4 done with the book. The series' order of the story is a bit different from the book so I already got a bit spoiled from watching the first episode.

Hi everyone. I've recently been getting back into watching TVB series again after 2 years of not watching anything (it comes in waves for me) and just found out about these DVD releases. I'm thrilled that TVB finally decided to quit putting out the crappy VCDs, but it still looks like they have some work to do before a lot more of the classic shows come out.

It sounds like the packaging is a little different for the TVB vs. Tai Seng releases (I gather the TVB ones are better looking).

Does anyone know which ones Yesasia carries in stock? I'd like to purchase the TVB ones (just want my stuff to look good), but when I look at the product descriptions on Yesasia, they list the production company as Tai Seng. Can anyone confirm this? I was going to order The Criminal Investigator and Romance Beyond, but not sure which packaging versions they are. Also, is it only the packaging that's different? In terms of the video and audio, the TVB and Tai Seng releases are identical, right?

Stuff I'd really like to see released unedited on DVD:
    The Turbulent Decade
    The Change of Time
    Burning Flame (the first one)

Tai Seng and TVBI versions are indentical in transfer since all of that work is done in HK. The packaging is a bit different. I usually get TVBI versions because of personal preference and consistency. TVBI versions are only available on the Global Yesasia site, but you are most likely unable to buy that if u are from the US. U might get lucky sometimes with the yesasia site. Tai Seng versions are also cheaper.

    Alzarius,

In 2006 TVBI Taiwan released "The Change of Time" (龍的天空) DVD for rental. There is big chance you will find it on e-bay.

I think TVBI is TVB's official DVD/VCD release company (or something along those lines) and Tai Seng is a major release company in the US.

Yeah Tai Seng is the best bet. I'm a collector, so im pretty picky when it comes to buying DVDs, blu rays and all that. If u see my collection, u'll know what i mean.
